He needs a lot of work as a receiver, but he came from that Stanford offense, reportedly has a history at offensive line, and let me tell you, he can block.

It may be rich here in the 4th for me, but this is the last body remaining for me at the TE position.
Fumagali was available.

He also seems like a guy like Geoff Swaim that was underutilized as a receiver in college. The Cowboys were criticized for taking Swaim but he has been a better receiver than he was given credit for and Schultz could definitely be the same type of prospect.
Swaim seemed to have a good rapport with Dak late in 2016

I read his scouting reports and he seems super-JAGtacular, but I really, really like that he played at Stanford. They're one of the last run-heavy pro style offenses left in the NCAA, and every year their tight ends come into the league ready to play.

Funny that we feel great about our TEs, but somehow they still found a way to take one before DT .

This team will is any opportunity to draft a TE.

So he'll block as well as Witten will, and has a chance to catch some short passes. I'm happy, although Hurst would have been nice

Shaw's offense has this kid ahead of the curve for our style of offense. He will fit in right away being a good blocker but lacks playmaking ability. What he did there will be very similar to what he will be asked to do in Dallas.

I have watched him play quite a bit. Solid player but nothing screams he is the future starter(or Witten I should say). Decent route runner and will be where Dak expects him to be.

If Dallas doesn't pick up a vet TE, this kid should see a lot of snaps this season.

How does he compare to the guy the eagles drafted in the 2nd rd?
