When this team swings for the fences, all too often it winds up in the catchers mitt.I don’t like this line of thinking but it’s probably statistically true but it’s because you’re picking guys like Armstrong and Schultz who are just limited players.
I’d rather swing for the fence with these picks then swing for the base hit.
Catch you can’t possibly know that about these players. Rounds 4-7 are essentially a crapshoot and comes down to who they like on their board.
Any pick after the 3rd round is around 50/50 to make the roster. Probably about 25% to make a meaningful contribution.
Armstrong is too small for 3 downs.
Schultz is just a guy. No special traits. Complete jag.
Dalton Schultz is a starter day one.
The 4th and 5th round should still be rounds where you’re picking upside with starter potential and neither one of these guys are that.
Both of these guys may end up being solid role players but I’m not taking a guy that has no chance of being a starter in the 4th and 5th rounds.
Save that for the tail end and udfa.
Just realized that we picked Dorance Armstrong over Josh Sweat. That makes me a little sick.

I think the Cowboys brass should pay you guys to draft for them.
How do you know who will be what? Seriously?
Especially because the better player went to the Eagles, later.Just realized that we picked Dorance Armstrong over Josh Sweat. That makes me a little sick.
Might agree that Armstrong is more of a OLB and has ability to rush also, Schultz is a Witten clone just watch the tape and interviews and much better pass catcher than any believe. Mike White should challenge Rush for the backup job and if Dak for some reason doesn't work out White could be the guy if not develop him and trade him just like New England does seemingly every other year. The 4th and 5th round should still be rounds where you’re picking upside with starter potential and neither one of these guys are that.
