Cowboys signed Oregon CB Arrion Springs.

Springs (5’11/208) was a three-year starter in the Ducks’ secondary, tallying 44 career pass breakups with two interceptions and three forced fumbles. Springs earned PFF College’s No. 7 cornerback grade in all of Division I last year and allowed a stingy 40.6% completion rate when targeted. Although he showed plus long speed (4.46) at Oregon’s Pro Day, Springs struggled in other athletic testing. Not flashy but a consistent executor, Springs offers some dart-throw appeal with an underrated resume.

Our undrafted classes have taken a nosedive the last few years.

Didn't the NFL put a limit on how much of a bonus a UDFA could receive? It does seem like in years past we almost cherry picked the ones we wanted.

Yes on bonuses but not on guaranteed salary. They gave Ron Leary over 200K guaranteed a few years ago. They did something similar with Rico, IIRC.

I like some of these guy's game, so et'll be interesting to which 1 or 2 make th team.
My top 5 for UDFA:

1)CB/S Cameron Kelly - I like him as a big CB for DAL Cover 3, but he tackles well enough FS could be an option too.

2) DT DeQiunton Osbourne - fits Rod's one gap penetrator style. Strong dude, good redirection ability n high motor, can close n finish.

3)WR Malik Earl - hands, grippers, paws, mits...shows wide catch radius, Earl extends an snatches th ball w/ his hands easily.

4) CB/S Kyle Queiro - another big DB I like at CB n this scheme, cause of his click-n-close an ball skills. Queiro tackles well enough to play FS IMO, so where Richard plays Kyle is th intrigue for me.

5)TE David Wells - this guy is a pretty good run blocker. SDSU offense was run heavy an ran a lot of zone plays, so he'll fit DAL offense.

Honorable Mention: LB Ed Shockley - gap shooter for real, really quick. Strong wrap up tackler w/ a wrestling background. Like him as a developmental WILL.

Watching the highlights of the UDFA it really drives home the point how hard it is to get drafted and then make and NFL roster. All of this for in all likelihood will be a 1,2, or 3 year NFL career. Next year there will be a whole new boatload of prospects coming through.
