Bill Cosby Convicted Of Drugging And Sexually Assaulting A Woman

No. The rest of the casts didn't do anything.

Exactly. It would be unfair to punish others for what Cosby did.

I'm disappointed in Cosby. I've been a huge fan of his for years. His stand-up comedy was top notch, and we always watched Fat Albert when I was a kid. But you don't get to commit crimes just because you're a celebrity. I think some celebrities feel like they can get away with anything because they're rich and powerful.

I wonder how many people would even watch it now
I would, but I still view Roman Polansky movies & am also currently watching "House of Cards".
I guess I seperate the artistic genius from their real-life activities.

I think there's a clear difference, in that you see Cosby's face, and you can't help but think of the hypocrisy of who he pretends to be, both in his characters and his persona.

There's also the aspect that many people (myself included) bought into his act, and considered him one of the most moral, upstanding role models in the business. Many feel betrayed by him.

Those other movies and shows can be watched without being constantly reminded of the crimes committed, but his face being front and center makes that impossible for most people, I'm sure.

I would have fled the country a long time ago if i knew I was guilty of this

I agree with everything you've typed, it's entirely reasonable.

I just separate the artistic output from the personality.

Maybe the marketplace is the final decider?
If you put it back on the air & no one wishes to advertise or watch, the show will be taken off.

I separate at as well..up to a point. There are performers that I don't care for or their politics but I still enjoy their performances but this is different from that.

The marketplace would not be the decider, the Metoo movement would be and the channel airing it would catch the heat. They all err on the side of caution like they did with Martha Stewart and Paula Dean. It seems people are just spoiling for a fight these days so why give them motivation? It's not like there is not other product out there.

You going to jail son!

Yeah, he is already old and his sentence probably won't be enough to feel justified to many, but, he is paying the biggest price of it all in the fact that his image/name is tainted for the rest of eternity. It's too bad he was this person. He was supposed to be the kind of person you could look up to that made it out of Hollywood as a decent human being. I guess you just never know what kind of skeletons people have in their closet.

How is this punk able to be out of jail right now while the Night Stalker is in custody?

Thread question: Should reruns of past television shows like The Cosby Show be pulled from programming lineups because of Cosby present day legal issues?
Would anyone watch it anyway? I dunno. . .

Old shows always attract an audience. It is why networks have always rerun episodes of shows from the 1950’s to the present.

Potential viewers will boycott his shows because of Cosby’s legal problems. Some of his original core audience will reminisce how his shows entertained them in the past and attempt to recapture old enjoyments. Others would watch out of curiosity trying to discover for themselves why a once beloved television comedian became a social pariah.

Even the most bland television and movie entertainment continually attract viewers. Cosby was a cast member of various popular shows. Thus, some people would still watch his shows. I only wonder if the viewing public will continue having the option of catching re-broadcasts of his shows via the networks.
