Overall awesome for Cowboys fans.

It obviously does not show everything. They don't show much in terms of X and O coaching. An no explanation on not helping Chaz Green in Atlanta. Garrett just kept repeating "It's on me".

Dak is a natural born leader. He is much more mature than many other players.

Lee and Witten are all-in and real leaders. Crawford seems to be Lee's assistant leader.

Lee is always coaching or watching film.

Scandrick complains often and seems to want to get into controversity but manages to control himself.

I've complained often about Dez but the entire WR "room" seemed to have a bad vibe. I don't think Dooley was the right coach to deal with Dez. Butler and Beasley seem very immature and Switzer is similar.

Dez is like a spoiled 5 year old child where the parents are always trying to talk them into being in a good mood instead of disciplining them. He had a meltdown just about some comment the WR coach made about an opponent. Many people seemed tired of Dez.

They didn't show that much of teaching sessions which made it difficult to get a feel for a lot of the coaches. I'm not surprised they changed out many of the assistants.

I can't get a read on Linehan. He seems like a smart guy but maybe not a great communicator. Maybe being the communicator will be the function of Kellen Moore.

Garrett was impressive in many ways. He would be a great manager in a regular business. If there was a true full time assistant head coach position he would be great in that role. I can see an older guy like Jimmy/Parcells being a head coach with Garrett as the assistant head coach that does most of the work but then the hardarse HC comes along to kick arse when needed and to keep Jerry out.

Jerry is a cool person and owner. If he didn't insist on being the GM, he would be loved by fans and players. Jerry does make fun of himself on occasion. His biggest negative is alcohol. He shows up at half-time or after games when he has been drinking and just talks nonsense.

The Joneses have quite a lifestyle and it's cool how the family all seems to get along. Stephen gets really excited at his son's games. The son looked really good as a QB but appears a bit small for a college QB.

Zeke was out of it mentally until after the suspension. It would have been much much better if he started the season suspended. The unknown status seemed to affect everybody including the coaches and players.

CB Jourdan Lewis is very competitive. He punked Dez bigtime.

I'll probably watch the one for AZ next.

Good insights, my friend. 11-5 next season. Maybe 12-4, barring injuries.

I would definitely like to see a comparison of the two seasons of those two different teams.

The comment about Garrett is interesting. I always thought he reminded me of a few of my managers or supervisors thru my working years lol. More than that than a football coach.

I always maintained the same impression. I've always thought he's better for the FO than coaching.

I binge watched it as well... But Garrett, had me laughing all the time. I say F this and F that all the time, but felt like he does it to fit in and be cool lol.
There was a moment where I had this weird feeling, where he was dropping F bombs like they were going out of business, and all my ears could hear was him repeating "golly gosh darn it!".
Now I want to watch Revenge of the Nerds...

Thanks for this write-up. I've been wanting to watch it but haven't been able to yet. You saved me a lot of time cause I was just wanting insights like this.

I binged it also. Made for a fun afternoon. Told my wife I wish it was from 2 years ago. Or they started doing it for the rookie season as well.

JG cussing looked and sounded almost scripted. He looked uneasy rocking back and forth and talking. Repeating himself. But maybe that’s just how he is. Dropped bunches of F-bombs. Actually most everyone did which I liked.

Was cool to see some of the players off field. D-Law and Irving.

The assistant coaches seemed more like baby sitters.

Surprised you didn't mention what an undermining force Jerry is. Cutting Garrett off after the Denver beating so HE could speak to the team before the HC, was right out of the meddling owner playbook. Imagine your boss at work, speaking with you, and His/her boss interrupts them to speak with you. You'd never respect your manager again.

so Dez is a moron, the recievers are a joke, Garrett is a clapp happy nice guy, but stinks as a coach, not much accountability and the off field stuff with Zeke had a big effect? Oh yah, and Jones should stick to being an owner?

check, check, check, check. Thats about everything some have said so far now confirmed. Thanks.

Have you ever had a job or a Boss?
I mean, seriously.

Jerry acted like Jason's boss as well as the Boss of the team after the most shocking loss of the season.
Fittingly so because he is. Jerry is really as figurehead GM at this point but he darn sure is the owner. And has every right to speak to any one at any time on the payroll.

Denver was a bad football team and they beat the breaks off us.

Anytime I've been in the room with upper mgmt it's pretty clear the lead dog is the lead dog.
They come in and speak their piece then leave.
Highest ranking guy is always the one who talks after an introduction.

Jerry had every right to speak in that instance, same as he would have been in the right had he simply fired the staff and started over.
That was a bad, bad loss.

Other NFL teams do in fact have owners speak to the team after big wins or bad losses.

IF Jerry was still trying to be an ACTUAL GM and had he drafted Manziel over Martin or was the guy calling around making trade then yes this would be a troublesome deal.
IF he was calling out the coaches box with plays a la Al Davis this would be a troublesome deal.
But an Owner who gives a post-game speech? That's stupid rhetoric that should be left to stupid people not the otherwise bright folks who are pushing it.

Lol of course you do.

I watched it as well and as usual you misrepresent Dez's whole role due to your hatred of the guy, what you fail to add was how good of a teammate he was, how he congratulatory he was to his teammates when they scored even when he wasn't getting the ball, how he had took ownership when he had a bad play, and also how he encouraged other teammates as well.

OP becomes a joke when discussing certain players.

It'd be tolerable if he was still putting out quality football content. But even that has waned. HellH often present himself as someone studying tape and then you ask him what he watched and he'll say the first half of a football game. Joke.

From the series I didn’t like the vibe in the wr room either. I don’t know though.

Dak didn’t find Collins Atlanta game jokes funny at all either lol.

Dak was sooooooooooooo Happy when his dink and dunks went for long yardage against the R.I.P. Giants.
Let me tell you something from what i saw from his reactions during the Giant game, he knows he's under qualified for the job and the only thing he cares about is his JOB!
If you think about it why play in the last game vrs the Eagles if your confident in your status and abilities as America's Team QB?
Everyone knows why don't we now....
