It is 100% clear why the Cowboys parted ways with Dez
I say it more then he does... Garrett just for some reason doesn't look the part. Like thinking of Richie Cunningham in Happy Days saying it over and over lol. Might just be my perception of him...
Plus I know how coaches talk, actually graduated with everyones favorite draft picks for trade, Joey Galloway. Although coach Magistro didn't cuss. But all the rest did like crazy. Probably have a millennial hear the way they talked now, and they would be running for their safe spot.
Surprised you didn't mention what an undermining force Jerry is. Cutting Garrett off after the Denver beating so HE could speak to the team before the HC, was right out of the meddling owner playbook. Imagine your boss at work, speaking with you, and His/her boss interrupts them to speak with you. You'd never respect your manager again.
There was a moment where I had this weird feeling, where he was dropping F bombs like they were going out of business, and all my ears could hear was him repeating "golly gosh darn it!".
Now I want to watch Revenge of the Nerds...
I bet he feels real and he tries to come off as real, but...Garrett is totally fake and incompetent
Thats because the offensive coordinator Romo who did all the X's and O's retired last year. They don't show much in terms of X and O coaching.
It's because Garrett is a spineless jellyfish
A self respecting HC would never agree to be made a dancing monkey like Garrett is
Garrett was impressive in many ways. He would be a great manager in a regular business. If there was a true full time assistant head coach position he would be great in that role. I can see an older guy like Jimmy/Parcells being a head coach with Garrett as the assistant head coach that does most of the work but then the hardarse HC comes along to kick arse when needed and to keep Jerry out.
The whole group didn't tank. The group as a whole failed. That was largely on the OL, Dak some, Dez "The guy who can't get open" Bryant, and Jason "Use a sundial to time my 40" Witten.
Beasley got bracketed. I'm not sure what else he could do.
Its not entirely on Dooley but a big portion of it is. Witten didn't tank, he went from 69 catches to 63. Some of it is on Dak and some of Beasley's drop in production was on the defensive adjustments - but in the end the group's performance declined significantly and that is on the leadership. Which in this case is their position coach.
I binge watched it as well... But Garrett, had me laughing all the time. I say F this and F that all the time, but felt like he does it to fit in and be cool lol.
