Not happy with the last couple days

But I am talking about our OL, and them getting talent on that side of the ball hasn't let us down.

Depends on your bar of success. We have one playoff win in the Garrett era. How's that not letting us down? The fact is that this pick was made b/c of the Atlanta game and Jerry said so. We made this pick b/c Garret made a bad call keeping chaz green in the game and not giving more help.

LG was the biggest need on the team. the collapsing pocket was Dak's main problem last year and guess what the people who actually know agree with that. If you don't OK.

So, in your esteemed view that is apparently backed up by "people who actually know", the OL issues had nothing to do with Tyron Smith's health/ absence and everything to do with the LG play? Absurd.

Cowboy the problem at the LT spot was when TSmith went down the "swing tackle" almost got Dak killed. Plus the OG [Cooper] was barely handling his job. We have done a masterful job in FA bringing CFleming as the new swing tackle his job in New England. We needed to fill the biggest hole on the team OG and we did it with CWilliams. Great drafting. Now we have erased the question marks along the offensive line.
We will return to dominant power run team. It's pretty simple

Hope you are right. But, the defense sure could have used that pick..........especially in a division that loaded up on offense this off season.

We added 2 LB and Edge rusher,(RE); last year, we loaded up at CB, we may a trade post draft and added a DT, Ward should come in and play the 3 Tech ,if RM can work his magic we could have another Irving. We can still fix needs at NT in FA, but I would not expect to see anyone signed before May 12th, as thats the last day when FA signings do not affect Comp picks in 2019.

It's all about getting the run game back to an elite level ala 2016 when we had Ron Leary at LG, and better pass protection for Dak.

Do your own research and then you will see it was a fact. Or you could keep throwing nonsense out there.

I did, and I hardly consider 17 year old Michael Bartlet a draft expert. The kid wrote an opinion piece in some obscure football blog. That is like someone quoting your garbage and passing it off as fact. In any case, it goes without saying that Conner Williams is not a top 15 player. Top 50.

LVE was the only guy we added who upgrades a position on defense. Everyone else is a prayer. Maybe you should stick to soccer?

We'll have this convo again when none of this happens. You fail to account for the defensive adjustments teams made in 2017 or Tyron Smith's health which which were far bigger factors. Leary wasn't the most importance difference between 2016 and 2017.

I may get killed here but I hated this draft. Gallup is the only I guy I am excited about. LVE is a project with up and downside. William is a nice player but not necessary in round 2. The 4th round was a zero. White has promise but this is Dak’s team. No DT? No S? I thought Switzer was supposed to be Austin? I suppose CB is a goner. Ugh. I don’t think it was great.
I completely understand this has happened to me in the past. Going into this draft I figured the top needs were LB, Oline, DT, WR, S.

I Think LVE has a lot of upside but my concern would be medical but I guarantee the coaching staff has done their homework on the issue. My take is LB was biggest need.

You have to absolutely love Connor Williams and with the oline struggles last year when Smith went out they have improved their back ups and added a starting guard. I really wanted Sutton in the 2nd and when Denver took him I wanted a TE to replace Witten but Williams was the right pick.

I dont know much about Gallup but watching him on film he looks pretty good. The war room knew there was depth at the wr position and this was a good pick.

Armstrong???? Name sounds tough! Here is where I wanted Dallas to draft Settle a massive DT. Oh

Mike White was a shocker but I love the pick! For some reason looks better than Dak already, he has an arm and is accurate! I could care less about mobility!

Chris Covington ???

Cedric Wilson looks good!

Bo Scarborough how did this dude this last this long. Tough physical runner and will compliment Zeke well.

About the Austin trade. Basically it was an even swap to replace Switzer and Dallas got another DT that they coached in the pro bowl. Basically they traded a 6th for a DT they originally rated as a 2nd rounder but has suffered injuries!

I could've gotten behind going defensive heavy as well...maybe grabbing Shepherd (DT) in the 2nd and Gaulden/Harrison (S) in the 3rd. Then you can grab Wyatt Teller in the 4th/5th to play G.

I would've been ok with that, but I think Williams is a clearly a higher rated player than Shepherd and Gallup is probably a better pick than Gaulden/Harrison if they want more of a CF safety,

Maybe you should tune into Sanity FM, no one knows how any player will turn out, to say otherwise, is foolish. We added a starting calibre LG, player whom PFF rated as one of the top 15 OL in the draft, a player who gave up 1 sack in 3 seasons. We added a rotatinal DE who has a good motor, his job will be to spell Lawrence, he does not need to have 15 sacks per season, he just needs to do his job. Ward was highly rated back in 2016, but was misused by the Raiders he is a UT in a 4-3 but was played as DE in a 3 man front.

Im not happy at all too, Im ok with the 2nd and 3rd pick, and with the trade for Tavon Austin, but I think the cowboys could have done more with the first selection, for example, they could have trade up some positions (3 or 4) and select Derwin James and select Tim Settle with the 4th pick, that would have been an excellent draft.
But we have to live with reality, and hope that what they select meets the expectations. and that the cowboys complete the ET trade.

I'm pleased with the Tavon Austin Trade. The rams are idiots for not using him right. He's as quick as Beasley with 5 more steps of speed. It's a crime that I've never seen this guy catch a deep pass. I watched him his first 2 years and the qb play hurt him. Peyton or Brady would make him a 80 catch receiver.
Almost exactly what I was thinking. Problem is, they grossly overdrafted him, so thought they just had to make him a #1 WR. We got a steal on this one.

I do. Sometimes the truth hurts. Man up and accept the constructive criticism.
You have zero constructive criticism to go along w/ your zero posts. And you need to work on your understanding of the English language.
