Except for when results are involved

The whole Garrett is good because he sounds good has gotten stale quick. He’s always sounded smart and like a guy who “should” be good. The issue has been results of his process while others line Pederson leap frog us.

Not sure how that relates to him saying you shouldn't be calling mediocre, "great." For some odd reason, there are those who think clapping means he's saying they're doing a good job. I would hope that comment would cause them to think maybe he's not praising something bad when he claps. But I must admit my expectations are low.

To be clear I’ve never thought the clapping to mean one thing bad or good. I have like our talent for years and would like to see something out of it. Wasn’t jumping you but there is a new narrative with some that the All or Nothing cussing and stuff like this that means he is different.

So let me get this straight..……….Garrett sounds so great on the practice field that others are mesmerized by it? Other teams tape it and want their coaches to watch it.

Meanwhile, when we look at the results column for Garrett, his teams miss the playoffs roughly 75% of the time since he became head coach.

Hmmmmmm……………guy gives great speeches but his teams cant win jack...……….interesting...……...hmmmmmm

I think they made them watch it as a cautionary tale, you have to back up the talk with results, so don't be this guy cuz you ain't gonna get 8 years of being mediocre. The poster boy for mediocrity lecturing lecturing against mediocrity is quite ironic.

What if long after we're all gone Jason Garrett is remembered as an inspiring Bruce Lee type figure that is quoted by future generations?
Well, wisdom is going the way of the dodo bird. Folly is embraced as forward thinking. So, yeah, current & future generations could very well embrace the rah, rah without any regards to the substance.
