The curious case of the complete TE and the 1tech

we had trash at left guard last year to be totally honest. Tyron wasn't right..far from it. Dak and the team suffered moreso from those things than any other reason. Can't be Dak friendly with Dak on his back.

They need to flex Rico out and let him ball. He doesn't need to be a great run blocker if they use him situationally. We'll see if the staff can use him right. If we cut him, he'll end up making the pro bowl with the right team and system
Well said indeed !!! Hey Jay was not a great blocker but he could sure catch. Without Jay the 90's Cowboys would have not been as great as they were.

motivational talks and uses catchy phrases? lol...and of course..the clapping.

i am serious.
he should be embarrassed.
one by one, offensive responsibilities have been taken from him year by year.

what seriously does he do.
there may be hope for offensive scheme this year because he has been removed so it can incorporate more rpo elements

he has not been given a chance due to not being a 'complete TE'

Again, speculation. The stated word was that he got hurt and that by the time he came back it was too late to contribute. it was not said what you claim here.

You are taking him saying that he thinks he can contribute despite needing working on blocking into what the coaches/executives supposedly claim. Nevermind that he says that he needs to work hard to continue to improve as a blocker.

What i really find amusing is that this coaching staff has a track record of developing talent and you act like they have no chance of developing this talent. Nevermind they just got done converting KSmith from a LB to one of the better locking FB in the league.

My wish is to have Kris Richard elevated to HC by years end or next year...keeping his defensive duties of course. This would mean firing Marinelli and promoting Richard to the D-coord. as well. He can do it..he's young.

:hammer::hammer::hammer:and that's the bottom line

yea back to why i created the thread.
would it not be nice if our coach staff is competent?
if cowboys coaches say rico is not good enough, i want to be able to believe them.
instead i am left wondering if it is the make the player fit the scheme again.
just like why bjones was forced to play a position that he was not the best in.
just like why golden cock was here for how many years?
richard change bjones to cb the first thing he got here.

We failed Dak last year in soooo many ways. The first way we failed him was the oline was weak on the left side, especially at guard. It proved to be our downfall as the season went. Dak was harassed all year. The play calling and personel packages Linehan used was weird...he gave no help many times..or simply had too many brain farts ...I dunno what his deal was,but he took a step back with the play calling etc. That must be better.Zeke of course getting suspended did Dak no favors. Witten couldn't get down the field..it was simply hard to watch at times..so that position was pretty much an issue. Dez was Dez...meaning,if his heart was in it...he was good to go,but if his head WASN'T in the game,he went awol. The latter was the case last year, more times than not. Despite all of this..Dak almost got this team into the playoffs..its pretty remarkable if you stop and think about it. We were 1 game away from sneaking in. I have reason to be hopeful this year, based off of that.

Cooper and Green were fine at OG. Fred and LC started the year slow and Tyron played hurt all last year. Those were the issues.

And he helped Green right from the start. They slid protection his way right from the start. Cooper was set to take away any isnide move from the DE. Fred was isoed. Then they started chipping with backs. When Bell came in they put a TE over there and all the above.

As for personnel groupings what exactly were those that were "weird?" What plays were called that were as such?

Paragraphs are your friend.

the coaches have pretty much said that as well as Rico.
my point for the thread is pretty much - would it not be nice if we could trust what the coaches say.
