Obligatory-

Deion is a moron, loudmouth, and I place no value in his opinion and couldn’t care less what he thinks, about anything.

That is all.
Deion the self proclaimed jerk. He sits up on high(in his mind only) because he has SOMEHOW earned the right to run his mouth, and thus shows all of us without a shred of doubt, HE IS IN FACT A CLUELESS MOUTH BREATHER. BTW Deion..Dez was releasd because he isn't productive anymore..for whatever the reasons..those are the facts and none of that is related to Witten or Williams. For him to tie all of it together is a mind of a simpleton. MOVE ON 21.

Nope. Ain't happening Deion. We going to sink or swim with the new guys.

Copy That!
I've almost inadvertently been on a couple you-tube 'blurts' that were kinda' hinting on JERRY JONES implying he'd re-sign Dez,,,,I couldn't click off& out fast enough!,,,,man! you can't repair that kinda' torpedo damage in any way, shape or form ,while steaming FORWARD!o_O

I think Deion need to worry about Deions own personal life first.. HE aint exactly the guy I would want Dez talkin to about common sense and life choices...football or not.

Just when you thought you were out, they pull you back in.
Dez and Deion are on IR - relevant:)
Good point. This is what happens when once star football players are no longer what they use to be. Deion can't play anymore so all he has left is his soapbox and media platform to grab attention. Its like a child throwin a fit saying "look at me look at me." Vying to be relevant. Same with Dez..but he can still play..just not at a high level...so he is trying to grab the headlines via social media..or anyone who will pay him attention. Both are headcases. In fact,T.O appears to be halfway sane in comparison.

Oh here we go... You realize he was offered a contract and teams have inquired right? You realize he was cut what a week before the draft? Not after the first wave as you like to call it. If you can’t understand the timing of his release has had an impact on him finding the right situation I don’t know what to tell you.

It’s like the old saying you can lead a horse to water...

If a player is wanted, it doesn't matter when they are cut. I like Dez but it doesn't appear anyone in the NFL does. So all this belly aching about when he was released is just silly. If he was looked at as a talented WR that could help the team, again, it would not matter if he was released the day of the draft, the day after, during, or now... teams would snatch him up. It also goes to further justify the decision by the FO to release him, as he is obviously not worth what the team was set to pay him.

Go down the list of players in the NFL and there are many that would find work today if they were released today. Why is that? What is different about Dez than them? Oh, could it be his talent level is not all that anymore and teams know it?

he's the reverend deion now. only natural that forgiveness is in his nature. perhaps he can try and sway other teams to hire dez. but not the cowboys.

I agree pretty much with what you said.

I’m still not of the opinion that Dez was the sole issue. I have a hard time reconciling that fact since every wr had a down year. I know people want to lay all the blame at his feet and there’s a lot of blame there, but nobody has a real answer as to why every single wr had a down year.

So who is to say the passing game wouldn’t have been better this year under the new WR coach with Dez? I’m still not sold on addition by subtraction here. I still think he would’ve helped with the transition.

He definitely was not the only issue. And I agree that this year could have been different for Dez if some of those other issues had been cleaned up.

I'm not a big addition by subtraction fan, either. I believe in contingencies. However, if we are going to move on, other than replacing Dez with another bona fide No. 1, this is the only other way to do it IMO ... give yourself multiple options so that maybe enough of them will work out. If we had straight up just replaced Bryant with Hurns, I would totally disagree with that. Instead, Dallas is using a mix of veterans and draft picks to try to change up their receiving fortunes.

I'm less pleased with what we did at tight end, adding just a later-round pick and a UDFA to the mix of what we already had. That's just essentially hoping someone will step up, which is all that we're left with as fans concerning that position.

Hurns (189 catches), Thompson (77) and Austin (194) have all proven that they can contribute as receivers, even if none of them are No. 1s. Gallup was an early-round addition. Our tight ends have nine career catches, all by Geoff Swaim.
