Dez didn't get bad at destroying 1 v 1's. He just doesn't have the QB to feed him.

Disagree. Dez was declining physically. He was never a good route runner, and Romo made him look better.

I agree, EXCEPT his route running was never great, and opponents proved they could get in his head. He was big, freakishly strong, and very determined.

I left out CB because I think that's obvious given a year of experience.

It's pretty clear, at least to me, that the competition is set and we'll do some bottom churning and feeding but for the most part we won't be adding major names (c'mon baby you know what I like... Jerry Lee style).

So, hand wringing aside and no worrying like warts, is this a better team today than it was one year ago today?

QB - Another year of experience and a healthy and slightly updated O-Line. We are better.

LB - LVE will help and Smith moving better helps. I don’t like losing Hitch but we have a few additions that I believe will make up for that. And a healthy Lee. We are better.

WR - We lost Dez, we will find out if it’s a good or bad thing. We have a lot of young WR. Reminds me of the revamped youth of our secondary from last year. It took our secondary almost a whole season to gel. I am saying we are worse.

DL - I would say better but just read that Irving is suspended for 4 games again. So I will say about the same maybe slightly better.

TE - We lost Witten and have a handful of unproven other than Swaim. Worse.

S - I think like the rest of our young secondary it will be improved. Not much but another year of experience will help.
