I would not have signed Irving to a big contract prior to this time, due to the fact that he is a complete idiot. But recent events are going to drive his contract negotiating leverage to close to nonexistent.

The Cowboys might be smart to offer him an incentive laden deal with league minimums for his salary and add protection in the contract for suspensions and the like. Contractually this was good froma leverage point of view. But if anyone has any illusions that this guy is dependable they must be licking windows on the short bus.

Something like 500k for sack. Wow that sounds a lot but 10 sacks only gets him 5 mill - guess that’s a little on the cheap side. Maybe it should be vet minimum and 750k per sack
