Dak second to only Rodgers in 100+ QBR/games played

Hopefully nobody pressures Dak while hes driving the short bus, he'll drive it in the ditch or miss his turn. But it'll be okay, all the traffic lights were broke, his GPS wasn't working. "the glitch " can't be fixed.
"nobody was directing the traffic for Dak", " well one of the wheels were bald"... lmao..

I expect better from you Adam. This is subpar all the way. If Dez was faster? Really?

Again, Dez is at the 40-yard line when Dak releases the ball. Knowing Dez's speed, exactly which yard line would you expect Dak to throw the ball to?

There's no doubt it's easier to pass when you can make defenses play honest. It's also a whole lot easier when your own defense doesn't have you playing from behind so much.
Not to mention defenses know what you're doing pre-snap

Which they had no clue in 2016

Dak, having worked with Dez with hundreds/thousands of passes in practice/games would have a much better handle on Dez's speed and exactly which yard line he would be at. This is really an absolutely ridiculous question. Maybe you should stick to the cap.

15-1 when he's 100+ QBR and 7-9 when he's below 100.

That means their win percentage is lower when Dak is below 100 than it is when Elliott isn't playing.

I know, yet ,about every 48 hour cycle ,somebody will post up a YOUTUBE link showing him hooking up & connecting a 1001 times with his prior receivers,,,I don't really understand it why there is "some" heated& overtly exhibited vehement disdain for the guy,,,it seems to have spiked and it correlates within a week,of right around the same time span since #88 got "X" 'd off the roster,,,,the best remedy for " "seizing -up" that *****& moan machine of his detractors is to just take the field like he owns it.:starspin:
Lol bus drivers don't own anything. They just drive the bus

I have no idea why you're saying stats are bad, based on what they say about Rodgers. All the stats show that Rodgers is one of the greatest QBs, if not the greatest, ever to play the game. Even the ridiculous made-up stat in this thread (% of games with 100+ passer rating), designed to make Dak look as good as possible in comparison to other QBs, ended up with Rodgers on top.
Rogers is good. Real good. The greatest to ever play the game????? LOL I hope you're not serious with this crap.

Even if it was possible to calculate precisely where the ball should be thrown based on Dez's present speed, direction and assumed acceleration over the next 25-30 yards when he's currently at the 40-yard line for a pass that will travel about 50 yards in the air, what is "absolutely ridiculous" is calling a pass that travels that far "a poor throw" when it was maybe 4-6 inches away from being perfect and still was caught (without the need to dive) for a 56-yard gain.

Nah we’re sopposed to subtract that play from the history books when analyzing Dak’s performance.

You think that is 4-6 inches from perfect? Wow.

"Without the need for a dive" - though the effort made to catch it resulted in him going to the ground (the main point).

Edit: I did just rewatch the play. It's not a terrible throw, but it's not 4-6" from perfect. There's too much air under it, and probably should have got to Dez around the 18 yard line. It was also late (Dak's anticipation issue).

I love how people tout QBR and have no idea how it is calculated.

Personally I reject it because they use logs to force into a marketable scale similar to qb rating which I loathe.

Dez had to extend his arms slightly too far and lost his balance. If he doesn't have to extend quite as far, he wouldn't have lost his balance.

I guess we're ignoring him having to lunge a bit? And we'll ignore the late throw (which is a part of the quality of the throw) which shrinks the margin of error on the placement? And 4-6" inches isn't going to making him tumble.

When a WR is that open on the opponents end of the field, there are only two reasons it should not be a TD - a drop, or a poor throw (assuming a throw is made).

Nitpicking and discrediting 57 yard passing gains.

Way to avoid any argument. If all you do is look at the end result of the play, you are doing poor and lazy analysis.

Ive already given my analysis of the play earlier in the thread actually.

Nitpicking because Dez had to stretch his arms out for a pass And then barely lost his balance is asinine IMO. Any pass play that is completed for over 50 yards including a ball that sails in the air for 50 yards, requires quite a few good things to be done by the entire offense to make it happen. That includes the OL, QB and WR.

What’s next, shall we nitpick every 20+ yard run Zeke has had when a defender took a poor angle?

The throw absolutely could have been better but it is serious nitpicking given that he gave Dez a ball that he could have adjusted to without having to lunge. If instead of extending his arms that early he could have put a little extra speed into the end of the route and he would have been able to pull in the ball in stride.

The analysis in the first place is asinine because it began with the assertion that Dak shouldn’t have had the 100 QBR game because it was a “poor throw” in that play.

Which is just wrong for many reasons. Dak’s QBR was already penalized for the slightly long throw because had it been 6 inches shorter, Dez scores a TD and Dak finishes the game with 2 passing TD’s rather than one. Therefore, his statistics already take into account the failure to throw the ball perfectly.

That being said, in no way shape or form should he not get credit on a play where he reads the defense properly, catches the safety biting on the double move and then throws a ball 50 yards in the air well enough for it to hit Dez in the hands. Any idea that the play should be removed from his stats when assessing his performance, is just nonsense.
