I was going to start a thread for people to post pictures of their pets (past or present) but a quick Google search led me to this one. So here's my boy, Duncan, now deceased. Most of the people who'd spent any time with him would tell you he was the best dog they'd ever met.

Pretty much exactly what every boxer owner has said. I'm thinking a 2-3 yo rescue boxer at this point, but the wife wants a puppy because she thinks it'll be easier to get attached to an ugly dog if we get it as a puppy. I want to skip the 'eats my furniture' stage.

Thanks for the input.
What did you guys end up doing, Idg?

It's been about 6 years now, thanks T.
Ah, dang, man. I'm sorry for your loss, however belated, brother. You had a precious there for sure man. I love small dogs, but big pups cut right to the center of my heart. Duncan was a beautiful pup, brother. Even tho it's been 6 years, I'm sorry for your loss, Runny.

I've got a Wheaten terrier. Looking to hear from Boxer owners if anybody has one and loves/hates him.
When I was a kid 4-5 years old we lived in a duplex neighbors had Boxers I would ride them like horses I loved those 2 dogs would go out to the back yard and sleep with them at night in their over sized dog house Freaked my mom out my dad thought it was cool

Well, the wife and I decided to get another pup. After the passing of our beloved family dog, our second dog seemed kind of lost and depressed. So, we decided to get him a friend. So far, he wants pretty much nothing to do with her. haha I know it'll take time. Anyways, meet Aurora. A 6 week old Husky. So far, she is a very mild-mannered and great pup.
