And yet...top ten again in terms of offensive production on a points per series basis. If your proof doesn’t actually prove anything, what use is it?

I don’t give a crap about meaningless cherry picked stats from the bottom of the barrel. I care about what actually matters. That being wins and loses and playoff success. The proof came right out of the OCs mouth. They did the same things over and over all season even after losing Zeke and Garrett refused to change up the offensive game plans even after they stopped working. Coaches like that need to be fired.

The rate at which an offense scored points when it has the ball matters.

We win more games than most teams, and have over the entire time Garrett’s been HC. And the reasons we lose in the postseason are mostly on the defense.

If you’re going to say you care about what actually matters, then let’s talk about what actually matters.

You can care about meaningless stats to your hearts content. I really don’t care. You want to impress me and keep your job as head coach, be top 10 in wins and losses. Period! Your cute little cherry picked stat is only relevant if it results in wins and playoff success. How long does a coach with no playoff success get to keep his job as long as his offense is top 10 in some meaningless stat? Forever? You can’t blame the defense and escape blaming Garrett. He is the freakin head coach. The defense falls under his responsibility as well and if he is incapable of fielding one that will help the team win, he needs to be fired.

Points/series is not meaningless, lol.

And we have been top ten in wins under Garrett, too. You’ve just somehow missed it.

Everything is meaningless without wins and playoff success. One good regular season every three years doesn’t do it for me. If you’re happy with the results under Garrett, good for you but don’t expect those of us who want the team to win to be happy with the subpar product and lack of success.

“I don’t care about top ten in points per possession! Tell me when we’re top ten in wins when you want to impress me’”

“We’ve been top ten in winning percentage, too.”

“I don’t care about wins!”

I care about building a postseason winning team more than you do, my friend. Don’t get mad just because I like to focus the discussion on exactly where we are and exactly what it would take instead of randomly complaining about things that aren’t actual problems and pretending things like scoring rate are “cute stats that don’t matter.”

I'm not a Garrett fan but he has had 1 losing season as head coach and is 1-2 in the playoffs. Has either won the number 1 seed or tied for the best record twice now. He has the wins and since he has been head coach is top 5 in wins. If I'm not mistaken I think he is second behind the Patriots. He just doesn't have the playoff wins yet but has played 3 games

I'm not a big fan of the clapper, but you've moved the goal posts three times as @Idgit poked holes in your arguments.

So when do we limit Lee’s snaps? On third and long because he is so vital to our run defense. And as some has suggested they think Smith and Lee is the nickel LB’s. Or does Smith come out on run downs. Idk how this is going to work unless LVE just beast out.
dont think strength was ever really a problem taking on blockers, more of trying to run around them
early in the year i dont think he wanted to plant that foot at all being blocked, but he has gotten much better at doing it
bigger, more experienced and healthy i expect him to be a strength this year not some guy you have to hide on 3rd downs

Reason #1 why Garrett should no longer be a head coach. That is proof right there of what I have been saying all along. The game plans on offense for every game were exactly the same. They never did anything different than what Garrett thought they did well. It’s why they were so predictable and other teams basically knew what was coming. There was no studying of the opponent to discover weaknesses that could be exploited. There was only, this is what we do the best so we’re going to run it again this week just like we have been doing all year. I have no faith anything will be different. I don’t think Garrett is capable of changing up a game plan every week so as to exploit the other team’s weakness.
Garrett falls under the adage of “we’re going to run the same plays until someone stops us”.

The problem is that worked great with the dynamic Cowboys team of the 90’s.

Unfortunately Garrett is forever stuck in the past.

I haven’t moved anything and he hasn’t poked holes in anything either because nothing can change the continued lack of any real success under Garrett. Wins and loses and playoff success is how I measure a head coach, not meaningless cherry picked stats that let a team that didn’t make the playoffs still be in the top 10. That fact alone means the stat is as worthless as Garrett is as a head coach.
