What kind of dog and or pets do you have?

I assume this picture is a weeks old then, if they're coming already? Or are they coming later?

They are only three weeks old today. We had three deposits the day they were born. We are not breeders per se, but had a male and female and my daughter who is 10 wants to be a vet. So I decided this experience would either dissuade her or fully entrench the idea. My daughter now more than ever wants to be a vet and took charge during birth tying of the umbilical cord and cleaning the puppies. We spend at least 20-30 minutes a day with each puppy so they will be awesome dogs.

I've never participated in the delivery, ("I don't know nuthin' 'bout birthin' no babies!") but I didn't know you had to tie off the umbilical cords for puppies. What do wolves and such do instead?

BTW, I accidentally omitted the word "few" in my post. As in, " ......a few weeks old". :)

I've got a Wheaten terrier. Looking to hear from Boxer owners if anybody has one and loves/hates him.

We also have a Wheaton. She's up there in age. And had a few before her. And my in laws have a couple also. Good dogs just a little stubborn.

Great dogs. Very stubborn. And tons of skin and ear issues. Miss ours, though. Love the rescues we’ve got now, except for the shedding.

You're a rockstar parenting team, Mountaineer. That is incredible parenting, brother. At ten, just incredible. My son took till he was 11 to realize that he wasn't gonna be a YouTube celebrity.

Great stuff, man.

(my son wants to be an engineer now, aerospace, but it took near-Korean-level parenting from his mom and myself to get him on track. Have made him cry, literally, about his grades, but I digress)

Just fantastic stuff, man. You pumped me up, brother. And your pups are gorgeous.

My wife was 4 when she decided she wanted to be a lawyer. My daughter was 5 when she decided to be a vet. She has a first class mind that I have always thought she would be an engineer or lawyer. She reads at a 9th grade level as a rising 5th grader. They are both way smarter than me.

I rescued a dumped Pit puppy last year.

Nursed him back to health and kept him to about 8
months then found him in a good home.

Been caring for a big bird the last few years

He's still a bit dangerous but will ride on my arm when his attitude is right.

He's probably just pissed you won't turn on Sesame Street!

I had two boxers. Gunter, and Gretchen. Gunter passed away last year, but Gretchen is still going strong. Unfortunately, with my occupation, I doubt I will get another pet after Gretchen leaves us. Maybe when I retire, but the wife says my retirement will be a short one.

Sorry for your lost, brother. I'm in the same boat, no time to properly care for a dog.
