Prescott on George Pickens

I'd be interested to see what % of his deep completions came on rollout vs. being in the pocket. Because with that peg leg he will be dragging out there this year, I don't see him getting many opportunities on rollouts or sandlot plays
The leg is fine he’s in the best shape of his life. We know how Dak returns from injury.

Absolutely. I never said Dak doesn't connect on them, I said for the numbers I ran last season, he had the worst completion rate among top QBs who also connected on them. He's just not good at that.
Are you saying the numbers were from 2024 or all if his previous years to 2024?

Let's hope Pickens is far more than a "50-50" catcher. That's a very moderate requirement. Dak had better make sure his passes are accurate enough to expect far more than 50-50 catches. Pickens is quite capable of much better percentages than what Dak described. Let's hope he finds a way to increase his percentages of catchable balls. Let's also hope our OL makes that quite possible.

The numbers I ran were from the beginning of 2024. Don't remember after which game I ran them but can't find the post on Google now. I only ran them because I've known historically that Dak just isn't a good bomb ball thrower and I wanted to see how much that season.

So many cliches. I have a bad feeling about this.

"What's wrong with cliches?"

I can believe he was bad last year. It was such a small sample size.

I don’t know if Dak is bad at it or he’s just doing what the offense asks of him. Because he’s had a good connection down field with guys like Gallup and Brice Butler. Cooks….they had a good connection in the redzone but never connected deep.

Bro, just say you saw my statement, ignored it, then tried to shoehorn already prepared stats that didn't describe what I stated. You might look better than this emotional display.
Lol again zero intellectual honesty.

I'd expect nothing else from someone who cherry picks one season out of 9 year career and whittles it down to 1-2% of all passes from all QBs in a given year, just to try and prove your agenda.

Dak played poorly last season Im not sure anyone can honestly say he didn't. Something was off with the whole team.

I've heard allusions from some of the beat writers that McCarthy was source of a lot of friction. No one, that I've seen, has given concrete details, just that they are hearing stuff come out.

Dak was in a walking boot early on, then the hammy. I don't think he was fully healthy in his legs, certainly didn't seem like it.

30+ yards in the air is always going to be a lower percentage of completions too. And it takes more than just the QB. The Wr and QB need to be in same page on the route. Our WR for what ever reason we're not getting very much separation. At one point it was lowest in league. Compared to previous years his pass depth was lower too.

Definitely an outlier year and likely we will never know the full truth as to why.

A ball control offense with play action passing will help this offense a ton.

If Dak can stay upright, he has some stupid-good targets. If the Cowboys can mount a semblance of a threatening run game - they can be a playoff type of offense.

It all comes down to the defense. If the Cowboys have one - they’re in the playoff mix. If the defense falters - they’re on the outside looking in.
