I have not previously read or heard anyone associated with Marvel make this comparison but it is a logical one. King's ideology promoted peaceful inclusion among all people. Xavier's fictional philosophy strives for the peaceful assimilation of homo sapiens and homo superior. Malcolm's earlier advocacy aimed for separate co-existence. Eric's imaginary early advancement of mutantkind depended upon dominate and separate co-existence with humankind.

This has grabbed my interest. I may do some goggling and try uncovering some quotes Stan Lee or others might have given on this subject.
You nailed it. Professor X was peace for humans and mutants like MLK and Magneto was "Any Means Necessary" even if war and bloodshed like Malcolm X..

In the 18th Century you could pay your admission to the London Zoo by bringing a dog or cat to feed the Lions.

Contrary to what some people think, pineapples don't grow on trees they grow out of the ground, from a leafy plant. The plant consists of stocky leaves whorled around a central stem. In a healthy pineapple plant, the tapered, swordlike leaves can grow up to about 5 feet.
