What NOT to watch, the scoreboard!!!
These are preseason games and too many fans get all hot and bothered every year about what the Cowboys are doing offensively/defensively, why aren't they throwing deep, why run on third and nine, why aren't they blitzing etc etc etc.....these are preseason games, they're about one thing and one thing only, evaluating players, they're not scheming, if you want to evaluate the second team running game on the right side, they're going to run to the right side to evaluate the runnung game regardless the score, down and distance......so ignore the scoreboard, it doesn't mean anything!!
I wouldn’t let the starters play a single down. Preseason games are exhibitions. They are all about finding your best backups, finalizing the final 53, and most importantly, being healthy for the regular season. Losing a star player to an injury in a meaningless August preseason game is crazy.Let the rookies play after the starters do their thing.
I want to see the rookies. I want Rush to have some time, than have Mike White ready to go. The Wrs are going to need a lot of work. We need to see depth across the boards. Gregory could use this time. Let them play, let them make the mistakes. Get data, get data get data.
All of themWho are our backup WR and starting ones. Lol
Preseason games are good for watching players away from the ball. With that in mind, here are some notes on what I want to see from this outing:
No. Randy Gregory will not play tomorrow. Will Gregory be playing?
No. Randy Gregory will not play tomorrow.
Will Gregory be playing?
I don't care if it is the first preseason game, the first unit offense needs work to develop chemistry. You can't prepare for the season consumed with fear of injuries.
