If you think we are panicking as fans, imagine the FO. Scrambling to find a center. Expect one to be signed tomorrow or Friday.

This isn't a "get a couple treatments and play through it" illness. Expect him to miss the season, and hope for something better.

Guillain-Barre syndrome

Yea, he is not playing this year. He has a few rough weeks ahead then rehabilitation time. It probably won't get too severe since caught early, but in no way does he skip right through it and suit up mid-season.

I have to believe there is a team out there that has two good centers and can't keep both. Has to be one. Not talking all pro here but GOOD.. One that is not Chaz level bad, not Beard level amazing...

I wish Travis the best and he should absolutely put his health first.
This development could motivate the oline with a "wreak havok for Travis" mentality as they rally around their fallen comrade....who knows, it might motivate the whole team.

Are we gonna find a street free agent or a late round cut that is a better center than Looney is right now? I kind of doubt it.

Is there a vet center that recently retired that might be interested in coming back for a year?

I called it yesterday, time for Chaz to beast out! This is his year, unfortunately I didn’t see it going down like this but nonetheless, he’ll be beasting by October.

You are kidding right? He is going to be out until that is under control. No timetable is right. I'd be completely shocked if he plays this year with this type diagnosis.
They also said Jaylon would never play again. I think it’s still too premature to say one way or the other.

No timetable means they don't know how long it will take for him to respond to treatment. So again no need to panic until we see how Travis responds to treatment.

I mean the prognosis for GBS isnt typically a knock it out in a few weeks and go back to being a pro bowler situation. This really does appear to be something that will take him this season to beat and recover from. I wish him the best, but would be pretty damn suprised if we see him suit up this year.

It is not about "panic".

It is a serious condition that he needs to be given the respect to deal with on his timetable and that of his treatment providers.

The team (and fans) need to move on and admit he is done for the immediate future. It is no different than if the player were diagnosed with cancer.

What then? No need to panic until we see how he responds to chemo?
So what he has is comparable to cancer? Again no need to panic until we see how he responds to treatment. Travis said himself he was already starting to feel better. And hopefully that is truly the case. I doubt most people including your self have never heard of this. We will see. But based on what we know now there is no need to panic.

Well it may get more insane after the first game. Win. Or lose.

Arent we going into Carolina the first game? That will NOT be easy. And Zeke is typically rusty his first game out after no preseason.

Nick Mangold?

Oh wait, he didn't play in 2017, though he only just announced his retirement this offseason

WTH is wrong with you? Im not even a fan of the Cowboys, but wanting to take his money because he has a medical issue is just wrong..

Its a business. In civilian life it happens all the time.
So, don't give us this holier than thou schlitz.
But I guess spending money that is not yours is not an issue with you.

Sorry but this is a little different.... this is a systemic medical situation. Not a 50-50 thing or just a "ow my leg" thing. It has to be taken care of or the dude could friggin DIE... To me it is a huge difference.

JR Sweezy was a starting center for Seattle, went to TB in free agency where he started 14 games last year before breaking his leg. He supposedly has visited Seattle, I would definitely bring him in for a physical and see where he is at. Luke Joeckel might be worth a looksee at guard. He was the number 2 pick in the entire draft in 2013. Tim Barnes is a guy that started all 32 games in 2015-16 for the Rams and spent some time with San Fran last year. Alex Boone would be worth a look at guard if he is in any kind of shape. He got cut by the Vikes a year ago supposedly because he was out of shape.

Gotta read between the lines
Why make up stuff to put in between the lines? Travis literally said that he was already feeling better after a couple of treatments. Why would we not just read the lines that were provided?
