Root of the Rico argument

he needs snaps and did not get it.
he was put on ir last year and left on ir after he probably recovered.
on ir, he cannot practice with the team.

Nobody is entitled to get snaps because they fe
1st round picks would typically have the talent, attitude, makeup, health, clean record that we need. otherwise players lack one or more of these.

And, if they lack that, they don't belong. Again, that's their shortcoming.

seen it all the time.
that is why we hired fresh from colleges and dont get jaded damaged goods.
you work in some screwed up company then. I have worked several places, small, medium and global...and never seen that....perhaps you got jaded and your views of corporate world are jaded as a result...I feel sorry for you

making a timekeeping error is understandable.
making a similar mistake a year later is unacceptable.
again, I am not excusing it....but there are a lot of coaches who do that..... and is that all that you have to say that makes garrett bad? couple of bad time management situations!?

so if rico doesn't learn the playbook its the coaches fault....not the player? there is no accountability on the player? so coaches need to baby sit each player...you don't think they have watched film, explained things to him and walked him through and showed him...the question is did he retain it!!! by your account coaches are responsible to turn any athlete to a football player...regardless...that's essentially what you said....

rico needs reps. real reps. he did not get them.

do you know how many coaches in the NFL make time management mistakes? do you really think its just garrett? seriously!?
Garrett fans can’t even admit he makes time management mistakes. Well, from a high level they do followed by a blanket statement like all coaches make mistakes yet they seem to argue against every specific scenario that someone claims was a mistake.

So I am just curious, what are some of the time management mistakes you feel Garrett has made?

just curious, where were u on jaylon, gregory, dlaw etc
I liked all three when drafted. I thought jaylon was risky, but the reward was very very very high. I didn't think Gregory would come back and have an impact so soon, in fact I thought being away for two years, would hinder him. I argued to that point and I am happy to see that he is looking like he is going to be an impact player.

people can make mistakes.
not doing something to make sure the mistake never happens again is unacceptable.
he was removed from the offensive game planning.
he is an 'offensive' coach so he adds little to defense, as evidenced by bringing in marinelli and then richard to install the 4-3 etc.
if he adds little in offense, defense or game mangement, what is he good for.
if he is good in talent acquisition, move him to the front office.

and then how do you explain 6th round picks becoming GOAT's ala Brady and top 5 picks flopping so badly ala Leaf....couldn't coaches and scouts make mistakes?

so u were right on jaylon and wrong on gregory.
where were u on dlaw

Mike Shanahan won 2 Super Bowls, and NEVER mastered the art of time management. I was an Elway fan, and Shanahan infuriated me with his poor time management skills.

if he went on IR, technically per NFL rules he couldn't come back.... those are the rules as you said on IR he couldn't practice...but what he could do is study the playbook, watch film, watch practice, ask questions, learn......there is a lot of mental reps that great players go through to become great.....

I'm not convinced Rico would be a force to be reckoned with if he's allowed to become an active roster member. He'd likely make as many errors in areas that are just as vital as pass receptions to help this team. While JG is far from the ideal HC to guide this team, I'm not at all certain that Gathers is somehow the corrective answer to his failings. Let's just see what the staff is collectively agreeable to do with him, before assuming otherwise.

shhhhh. don't bring that up.....it damages their argument...let them be....

but but but but...he is 6'6" and 280 and runs a 4.8....and if he is not turned into a great football player its the coaches fault......

sarcasm fully intended

we were in tech near silicon valley.
we either hired fresh from college or brought in top, recognized experts to bring in necessary expertise.
we avoided mid-level hires, particularly master-level people with less than 10 years of experience.
if we want long term loyalty, we hired fresh grads.
the mid-level hires were viewed as intellectual property risks that bring little value.
top experts that were brought in were given incentives to be loyal.

garrett makes mistakes....but to want him fired and he sucks and a highschool coach is better than him is a joke and quite stupid statement onto itself....garett haters need to grow up a bit....then they will be taken more seriously

when u r talking overall team building, what i say is true.
i think u would agree brady is an exception.
1st round picks have reasonably high failure rates historically, but much better than lower rounds.
