What's the point with your comment about Bennett having a ring and Witten doesn't? Are you saying he was the reason NE won and Witten couldn't do the same with Dallas? Or are you saying Bennett was the better player of the two?

No reasonable person will back you up either way. Bennett has a Super Bowl ring because NE was short a TE when Gronk went down, and Bennett was in the right spot at the right time. NE found no reason to keep him the next year, just as 4 other teams decided he wasn't worth keeping.

That said, it's true the Cowboys have not done a good job getting other TE's incorporated in the system, but the reason for that is not that somehow they have no idea how to use a TE that isn't named Witten, it's because they never committed to using a TE not named Witten. Staying committed to Witten isn't an option now. They can and will use other TEs.

Bennett did have 50+ catches for five straight seasons after the Cowboys so it’s not like he was trash..he even had 7 TDs w the patriots his first go with them. Fasano even left to have a relatively decent career. But again I’m more so frustrated with our lack of use or teaching or poor scheme with TEs that aren’t hall of famers.

You are talking about production, so the comment about Bennett winning a Super Bowl doesn't apply to that.

And, again, what it had to do with the coaches is just that they didn't give real chances to the back up TE while Witten was with the team. It has nothing to do with not knowing how to use a TE, it was just the willingness (or lack thereof) to targets any TE other than Witten. That option isn't there anymore, so they will have to use other TEs. Obviously we will have to wait and see how much, but I believe the TEs will be used as part of the receiving group and will perform better than people are giving them credit for.
