I think it will be the 5th CB or 3rd RB when they IR Datone Jones. I liked Jihad Ward and thought he would be on the 53, but I think the other positions could be a higher priority with the depth we have at DL.

With Irving out, the urgency for 3T is pretty high. When Irving comes back, Ward probably goes, pending other injuries. Makes sense for a 3T to be the bubble guy for Irving.

Ward was already cut, proving my prediction wrong. Daniel Ross is the guy they kept instead, probably because he was stronger against the run and he can play both DT spots.

Every player any team picked up today was open to other teams. It doesn’t just work that way for Dallas. Theses are bottom of the roster guy, and it’s actually pretty nice to have a bottom of the roster guy that had 500 yards receiving last year.
