That’s what I’ve been saying. Or maybe we do a third and a fourth round pick the following year.
We are safety away from potentially having a good dependable defense that can get off the field on a 3rd an 20. It would be nice to finally plug that safety hole that has been wide open for 2 decades. What we need to worry about is game management..better play calling. ...and a coach that moronically insists on accepting the opening kick offs only to give the opponent back the ball with only 3 min elapsed in the opening quarter. If i thought we were a safety away from winning the SB, I would trade our entire 2017 class for Earl and run my testicles on the trophy if front of Goodell to celebrate. I don't think we are a safety away. Why trade away draft picks for somebody that i can sign in the offseason if I am not winning the SB this year?
coolThomas showed up at a flag football game in which my sister was participating in Austin.
Yes, and if they're trying to dump him, that's why a 3rd to me is reasonable for them to give up. Maybe a third and a player would be reasonable depending on the player.
We haven’t blinked yet and for us to cave and give a 2nd now and not have had him the whole offseason would be super weak on our part.
He’s a game changer though and having Lee and Earl Thomas on the same field would be nice.
penny is hurtPenny and Carson?
If that happens then that's fantastic, but look at it from Seattle's POV. They want the most for him. He may just want to go to the Cowboys as of right now. But I have to believe there is a team out there willing to give up a 2nd for him. I think they're just waiting for Dallas to match. I don't think we'll be getting him for a 3rd.
Definitely a risk. A little too high for me. I think though that whatever is going to happen is going to take place in the next 2-3 days. If nothing’s taken place after that, then chances are it’s not going to happen.I don't think it's too high. I'd call it borderline. But like someone else pointed out, what if he's injured and is a non factor? Otherwise a 2nd is pretty good if we know he'll be playing at a high lever for 2-3 years. It's a risk.

WR's or TE's? Aside from Gallup, who are you thinking has trade value at those two positions on our team?I suppose that could be the case, but I think they're only causing themselves more problems at this point than necessary. I think a third and one of our WRs or TEs (considering their offencive needs) would be more feasible.

I think you have to frame the question this way:
Would you trade Demarcus Lawrence for Earl Thomas?
Would you trade Randy Gregory for Earl Thomas?
Would you trade Jaylon Smith for Earl Thomas?
Would you trade Chidobe Awiuze for Earl Thomas?
Would you trade Connor Williams for Earl Thomas?
Those are our 2nd round picks the past five years.

Given our 2nd round track record over the last 10 years, I am giving that gladly...lolAccording to NFL’s Ian Rappaport, the Seahawks are seeking a 2nd rounder “and change” (whatever that means) for Earl Thomas and the Cowboys are offering a 3rd rounder.

The good news is that this means that conversations are still happening. This isn’t that far apart. You have to think that this deal is going to get done.
