The Dak Prescott Thread **merged**

That's my point.

Winning isn't enough for some.

Especially a division rival.

Well, division wins tend to be the hardest to get, especially in our division. No matter how rubbish teams can be in our division, they always bring their best performances against each other, so winning like we did today is special.

dude, how can you be so mad ? He is simply posting a QB Stat . Whats wrong with you ?
I'm not "mad". Seriously.

This is a division rival and it took a team effort and to NOT include EVERYTHING Dak did, including his first down runs is half the story.

Period.

Half this freaking board complained when the same scenario happened last week against the Panthers.

" Why don't we do that with Dak?"

Well they did and it won the game yet we want to dwell on passing yards.

This team made plays when it needed to. Period.

Put it in the "W" column. Done.

lmao. okay ...

its good that you aren't mad though .

Also, 8–1 in three years when a QB happens to get those numbers don’t really tell anything, meaning it’s probably just statistically meaningless. There are 32 teams in the NFL and in 3 years, those numbers have been hit 9 times,

Unless my math is wrong a team ends up with less than 200 passing yards and a 94 - 96 rating less than 1 percent of the time. Certainly not something to aim for.

Dak was 16 of 25 for 160 yards. So after that bomb to Austin which I thought was a great throw for Dak he managed 100 yds passing the rest of the game. He had 45 yds rushing which is good. These performances are not going to beat good teams. This game was just like that Commander game last year where Dak had 100 yds passing and the Cowboys win. Yes Congrats to Dak and the Cowboys and I am going to sit back and enjoy the win but this really doesnt change anything. Dak reminds me of Tim Tebow which is not good! The Cowboys must continue the search for a new QB.
I give Dak a C -

A solid B.

He played better for sure. Won’t know more until we see the tape. But....

Why he didn’t do anything great passing the ball, beside the Tavon bomb. He also played smart, and his rushing ability was key.
Jesus, we only consider long bombs when evaluating a QB? That's one heck of a bar to set.

Funny watching the Dak haters working very had to justify their hate following a win. They are putting in overtime doing it. Same cast of characters who have come to love stats over wins.

There are just a lot of stupid people here. Ignorance

Jerry is right Dak has been the QB and as long as he’s here he’s going to continue to be the QB. Throws ropes. Doesn’t turn it over. Has star leadership. He was never throwing for 300 last night, they were never letting him.

Couldn’t watch the game so I can’t rate him. I did hear on the radio that he had a long TD on the opening drive...so I was sort of shocked when I looked this morning that his yards only totaled 160 at the end of the game.

Dak didn't put up super great numbers or stats. But, he really did not need to. The Cowboys were dominating the game for 4 quarters and the final score looks misleading to anyone who didn't watch the game, making it look like it was a close game the whole time. The Giants got a few useless scores in garbage time.

Dak made the one big TD pass at the end of the game which the Giants never really recovered from, every pass wasn't perfect but he did make some throws that kept drives alive. He ran the ball for some good gains of yards. This was a game where he just needed to manage since the D was playing so well. Glad he didn't try to force the ball just in the hopes of putting up big stats to end up giving the Giants an INT that could have turned the game in their favor.

How would you rate Dak’s performance tonight?

First of all, he got better protection from the O-line. Second, a 20 point average isn't enough over a 16 game schedule. Third, Dak made better decisions probably because he had more time. I would rate his decision making an 8-10 or better. He missed a wide open Rico for a TD and Gallup on one play also. Overall, a 7.5 out of 10. Love what he brings with his legs and toughness to run. For that I give him a 10 out of 10. Where the h e l l did Allen Hurns go. Was he outside of the stadium running open all game?

LOL I dont think anybody hates Dak! This is more about can Dak figure out what defenses are doing to him and is he able to over come it. This is going to be a season long evaluation for everyone!

It's pretty clear that Dak has comfort with Beasley and developing comfort with Austin, Thompson and Gallup. I guess Hurns was open all game but he was invisible or something. That one is looking like wasted money. The O-line will determine Dak's success week in and week out. They did a nice job of protecting last night and a horrible job against the Panthers. As the O-line goes, Dak goes. He isn't Romo who could create with his eyes and his arm. He can create with his legs and he's tough
