If we get him for a 2nd, great...or forget it.

Most of my ET posts are only moderately serious however next week may be interesting because if we win, then maybe we have something as far as potential for this season and I'd think JJ would want to go all in meanwhile the seahags will be 0-3 with the prospect of losing their season and any chances of catching the Rams. So will they be more willing to deal and will we be more anxious to make a deal? If we lose, then are all bets off? Or will it even matter?

1. Tavon Austin - I can't remember last time Dallas had receiver with this kind of burst. Mismatch on field. I watched Jenkins (NYG CB) shut down Dez for years. Austin made him look like small child on skates for 1st time. He starts from here on out.

2. Dorance Armstrong - First time I have seen rookie DE bull-rush OL like he was channeling Reggie White. If he adds a move or two I think he can be as good as Tank within few years. Freakish strength for rookie.

3. TEs - please leave me alone. Dress none of them next week except for Rico.

4. Dak - wasn't great but much improved. Clear to me he needs to involve his legs to balance out other deficiencies. If he can somehow get onto roll this is dangerous team with great RB and improving D.

5. Defense. Offenses look like they are in mud trying to move ball on this defense. Might have reached tipping point of Dallas defense being more talented than most of offenses they will face.

7. Taco. Might be most improved player on this team. First time I saw him in TC (last year) you could see how dangerous he could become if he added strength. You now have player who might have longest reach in NFL who is getting taste of QB sacks. Early in his development and could get considerably better.
definitely this team is work in progress, the D is ahead of the O right now..I still do not understand why we have stuggles to score this offense yes much imporved still look lost on how to stay scoring .they were more creative last night.. after going back and watching more closely this Oline is the main issue..We cant get Zeke going up the middle with Williams being arookie, Looney is drop off from Fredrick, and im seeing the defnse scheme two guys over/under LC, at first you think hes not doing his job but he took the right inside guy on most plays and the pressure pushes dak Left and into not much of clean pocket AY ALL..Last week I blamed more on Dak this game was all the Oline because we coiuldnt keep the rhythem and got stale real fast..anyone notice even Tsmith getting bull rushed on occasion right back into dak..Run plays the holes just arent there, no second level blocking.. This to me is the area that I hope will gel and get better but Our Offenseive line is the main reason we cant consistently sustain drives..No Feeding zeke on the regular, I mean he fought for 79 yards and I mean his effort was 150% and barely ate..Hopefully they get that fixed..but overall a step in the right direction..

Don't see k.frazier as a huge liability in pass coverage as was repeated repeatedly;)
No, but I did see him whiff on at least two tackles. Barkley got him a couple of times. Man, that guy is shifty. He kept making the first guy miss, over and over. Out defense looks legit! And I love seeing the press...finally we have an attacking D!

explain please
That pass needed to be to the corner, it was inside and lucky it wasn’t picked off. On top ****, of all the times to go for. A play,he chose that time with a 5ft8in. Wr that was completely covered.

My main observation is with the East being weak this year, all we need is a competent QB and it was ours in the bag. Because of Dak, still predicting a 5-11 season. He's just lacking in so many areas. Folks, this was the Giants, at home. The GIANTS, who many analysts now say is the worst team in the league. Next week when we go into Seattle and lose something like 30-6 and Dak has his 10th game in 11 under 200 yards passing, you'll get it! Even last night, you take away his second pass for 64 yards and he throws for 100 yards the rest of the entire game. Come on people, wake up!!!! Very happy for the win, but it's going to be a very, very long season with him back there.

Dak Needs to develop a Cam Newton like Rungame or he is toast as a Starter. If you cant even put up 200 Yards of passing with one pass in the opening of the game going for 65 Yards you are in Trouble in this League.

I think its 10 Games in a Row now with Sub 200 Yards passing.
yeah, your right, lets not get all bajiggity about the fact he didn't HAVE to throw the ball 800 times to please all the "we gota have 300+ yd passing games, or, or we suck" crowd....

What the heck are you talking about? I was talk g about the pass to Beasley, but if you are talking about the td pass to tayvon, that was no tight window. He was wide open by nfl standards.

Don't forget the near pick to Beasley in the endzone.

That was moreso a bad decision, rather than inaccurate. The ball was well thrown actually, just a poor decision.

I know that doesn’t make it a good play, obviously. But just saying.

My observations so far...I thought we were an 8-8 team before the season. I thought we were 8-8 team after the week 1 loss. I still believe we are an 8-8 team after the week 2 win.

The team is going to go up and down and probably won't look impressive, even in wins. But I'm not going to complain about the wins when they come. The team is meeting my expectations.

This. If it wasn't for busted coverage on the 64 yarder to Austin he would have finished with less than 100 yards. 15 completions for 96 yards is about 6.5 yds per. He didn't need to do much against an overmatched Giants o-line whose center left the game on a cart. However, when the big boys come around he will need a bigger gun than the one he had Sunday night. The offense looks pedestrian in comparison to 2014, let alone 2016.

I think this team will have challenges on the offensive side this year, which makes the arrival of the defense all the more welcome. Since week 3 of last year Prescott has now put up 10 games with less than 200 yds passing. This is a disturbing trend that many choose to overlook, but something just isn't right about that kid. He's living on 2016 still.

Let's apply the same standard to Zeke...if you take away his two 19 yard runs he would have had 15 rushes for 40 yards, about 2.7 ypc.

Not sure why people want to exclude big plays.
