Dak wasn't that good last night **merged**

Dak has a really bad habit that he’s displayed since day 1. He fades/drifts backwards on far too many of his throws. Instead of setting his feet and torquing his body, he is off balance and throwing off his back foot causing the ball to sail. This happens even when he doesn’t have someone right in his face and he needs to correct it. I would have to go watch the play again, but I think he did it on the Rico overthrow.

I think on the pass to Beasley in the corner of the end-zone as well that should have been a pick.

awesome....over rated passer ratings...he was 6.4 YPA over all and outside of that one play...4 YPA....... that's more important........giants didn't respect dak and were willing to gamble on stopping the run and giving dak opportunities down field.

And this is why our run game is struggling now the oline or zeke. The defense has ZERO respect for Dak which makes it sad that he cant take advantage of it.

I thought he played well. Kept the giants defense off. I was actually shocked at the stats. After that 60 yard TD. I figured he would break 250 yards at least. He had a few dropped passes that was dropped. I think Gallup dropped one and Rico did also. Dak missed Rico on a endzine pass. Rico stumbled a little but still Dak over threw it a little.

It’s a game he can build on. He was quick, he was reading the defense and going through his reads and getting the ball out. All the things he didn’t do last week.

What’s he got to do to get a little respect. He is never gonna throw for 400 yards. It’s not the way he plays and our scheme isn’t set up for it. He is RPO. He goes to the line and reads the DE and decides whether to keep it or hand it off. Watching some of the keepers last night there was a few of them that fooled me also.

Was Dak better than week 1? Yes. Was that Aaron Rodgers out there? No. If that is his ceiling, are we making the playoffs? Probably not.

A lot of people talk about Dak in terms of potential to improve. However, he's a 3rd year player with loads of starting experience/real game reps. He's already gone through the steep part of the learning curve. Any improvement from now onwards will be minimal.

ok, even with that he was 6.8 YPA...he still had foot work problems......

he made deep throws...okey doke...he made one completion....woohoo

Lol I understand now. Your analysis is just a joke and you have no intention of providing even balanced and fair insight into the game.

Dak is very patient and doesn't make mistakes. We lost a lot of games in the past due to impatience leading to INTs. But he isn't a very good pocket passer and he doesn't take advantage of his running ability enough like Cam did last week. He's good with a dominant OL because it allows us to manage the clock and play mistake-free football. But he's not gonna win in a shootout like the Romo years. If our OL gets its stuff together, we could be tough to beat. Imagine the 2016 offense with the 2018 defense.
Yep, I remember that game... against the Broncos when we had 49 points... we lost tha because Romo was impatient and threw that late interception....

What have you possibly seen from Gallup to make you say you like what you have seen from him so far?

A lot. He appears to be the WR who can create space and make the tough catch. He's a pretty big body as well. I like that kid.

Nothing but over-exaggerating throws any NFL QB can make once in awhile. “A QB can throw it if he has a clean pocket.” You think???

Two of them were when the Giants were down and doing absolutely nothing all night and there was no pressure on Dak. The long pass play was basically scripted, meaning it was practiced.

Those two throws can more than be countered by TWO, should have been picks, by the Giants DL and the corner throw by Dak to Beasley at the corner end-zone. The first one, Dak started down his receiver and the other was the one people blamed last year on trying to force it to Dez.

Come on Khiladi. Just enjoy the win bro.

Enjoy the win.

Well your eyes are wrong if you think he didn't look at his 2nd and 3rd options. Plenty of times Dak went through his progressions and looked the safety off on others. Case in point in some of the Thompson throws
Looked the safety off? How many balls was the safety Involved with? Did they mention be the safety up to the line of scrimmage?

He was clean......lol, sign him to the max deal now, we have our man.....left l
Don't be ridiculous. No one is saying he's the next Brady. If some of you clowns actually enjoyed the game you wouldn't be complaining like a child when we won the damn game.

Nothing to hate with Dak this week. Got the win at home against a talented Giants defense. Not every QB is going to throw for 300 yards and 3 TDs and sometimes you just have to take the wins as they come.

there is some rumors that coaching staff wanted Romo back when he got over his injury a couple of years back...but Stephen and Jerry wanted Dak to play and worried about disrupting the apple cart per se..... now, Romo retired....the coaching staff has no choice but to play with Dak...you can only scheme your way out of incompetency so much....dak wasn't accurate again last night....

We have a great run game, why anyone expects Prescott to throw for 400 yards is beyond me. They spread the ball out way better than last week.

He has to stop reverting to that if he ever hopes to improve. Last night when he set his feet and stepped into it, he was accurate and had some zip on the ball. When he gets happy feet he sails the ball or throws a worm burner and he gets happy feet far too much for my liking.
yes, that was evident in the last TD drive, he was dropping, setting his feet and stepping into his throws and made a couple of throws anticipating the WR to turn and be there for the ball...that's an NFL throw

Dak was much better this week.

Our offense is still putrid, but it did show a tiny spark.

Dak's runs helped a ton!
It also helped that the Giants didn't have a Luke Keuchly or Shaq Thompson at LB. Harder to shake those guys loose.

The bad thing about this is... Garrett and Jerry will think they have found the solution. Dak is a less than average QB. Aside from that one play.. he rarely throws deep.. that is concerning

He threw deep 2 other times in that game, one that faded out of bounds, and one that dropped through Gallup's arms. In any case, any judgement on Dak is not going to be based on one game.

He was much better then week 1. He was more decisive and the game plan suited him better with slants and deep balls, guy is not very good at short outs and hooks/curls. With that said he's somewhat limited and needs to win by running the playbook you saw last night, not turning the ball over and a having a stronger running game.

no one expects him to throw for 400 yards. but 160...not good. and that's the fastest way to ruin your run game when teams don't respect your pass game, they focus on stopping the run....giants were bold enough to even say it...believe me every other defensive coordinator is thinking the same thing.... minimally we have to be on average in the 250 range......we have been far far far from it.
