Dak wasn't that good last night **merged**

He wasn't perfect. He was better than in CAR but he did use his legs more, which I have been in favor of because they're still going to use the stop Zeke defenses.

The other thing we always have to factor in is this is not only the East but the Giants and those games are hard to draw anything from except some good face shots of Manning. I don't think he's going to last the season.
Never said he was perfect, there were a couple bad throws, but overall he was clean.

I'm one of the biggest Dak "haters" on the board, but that O-line wasn't doing him, nor zeke any favors last night. I saw quite a few plays where he was running for his life from the minute the ball was snapped. He's still nothing more than a serviceable QB, but he showed flashes of 2016 last night.
welcome to the NFL...and when teams attack you like that, you have to make them pay by throwing right behind them to slow down the rush....... he hasn't effectively done that...he sees the rush, he is thinking scramble, instead of who is open behind them......

Dak is very patient and doesn't make mistakes. We lost a lot of games in the past due to impatience leading to INTs. But he isn't a very good pocket passer and he doesn't take advantage of his running ability enough like Cam did last week. He's good with a dominant OL because it allows us to manage the clock and play mistake-free football. But he's not gonna win in a shootout like the Romo years. If our OL gets its stuff together, we could be tough to beat. Imagine the 2016 offense with the 2018 defense.

Wrong. He played well, but then you have to actually watch the game instead of just looking at the stats and backing out the longest play.
Lol.....best game over ever seen from a 160 hard passing performance......smh. How many qbs in the past ten years throw for 160 yards and get good reviews......... keep explaining away mediocre because we got a win.

You realize there are other players involved, right? An oline that was allowing immediate pressure on third down (hence the throw-aways). Receivers not making plays on catchable balls.
and the list of excuses starts....... this is the second average game he has had....we saw in the first game he had opportunities he didn't see or take advantage of and several throws he outright missed...plain missed...I will wait for the all 22 analysis to see how this game went.....

yeah, not sure what to believe coming out of Jerry World..... but it wouldn't surprise me to see Jerry and Stephen over rule the coaches....Dak and the team were hot, they were winning, fans were excited....and it meant jersey sales and ratings etc....which sounds like Jerry...ride the marketing horse
Oh, I don't doubt they over rule on anything they deem important and that was certainly important.

The one thing I really don't think they stopped to consider was how much of that was being created by the OL and the presence of the unknown? Did they really think they'd pulled one on every GM and scout that had him no higher than the 4th? Hell, they tried to get two others before him, even they didn't buy in.

Dak played well enough last night and had the additional motivation from the week but I am still not sold he is the answer.

I agree, which is why he's a serviceable QB. By no means is he the one who should lead the franchise, but I have a sneaking suspicion that Jerry will give him franchise QB money anyway.

I did watch the game.... again his throws aren't that good, he is not going to his 2nd, and 3rd options and he had plays to be made down the field. his footwork was sometimes high schoolish and at other times decent. when he set his feet and stepped into his throws, he made them...otherwise they were all over the place.....and the final stats validate what the eyes saw....
Well your eyes are wrong if you think he didn't look at his 2nd and 3rd options. Plenty of times Dak went through his progressions and looked the safety off on others. Case in point in some of the Thompson throws

Dak wasn’t that good last night. He was decent. I would say a B.

That being said, can we please stop with the “if you take away the longest throw”. Blah blah blah.

I can’t stand that.

Dak has been getting ripped for not throwing deep enough, rightfully so, but now when he does throw deep, all of a sudden everybody wants to remove his credit for doing so?

On the play to Austin. Dak read the defense properly, looked off the safety, and then threw a beautiful pass that hit Austin in stride WHILE getting hit immediately after throwing. So Dak does all that, and we want to remove the play to evaluate his game?

Asinine.

16/25 for 160, that's a 64% completion rate and 6.4 yards par pass...which is bad onto it self......one play was for 64...which is good, but that means he was 15/24 for 96 yards.....and a paltry 4 yards per pass attempt.... that's ugly. really ugly... that means that teams don't respect the deep or medium throws and willing to gamble...yes they gave up a 64 TD pass, but that's one play....

one thing that was evident again last night, in the second half TD drive, he was setting his feet and making the throws...they were on target and had zip....then he was ugly footwork again for a lot of the other throws....
what was the score. Of course he has to improve

I watched the game. Dak did not play horribly. He actually did a lot of good things last night. His passing numbers were not a fit for what many believe is a good game, in terms of QB play but, he mad no mistakes, no turnovers. He used his legs to create critical first downs and he played to win. I don't know how anybody could watch that game and say that Dak didn't play well.

he was good enough..played against tough defense and had no pocket and a slow running game.. it happens two great defenses in row to start 2018 the expectations weren't to put up the greatest show on turf numbers..we lost one by 8 and won one 1-1 lets move on...

and he was still very average...... and he was still making throws without his feet set and his first instinct was pull the ball down and run.....this ain't college wishbone offense...if you don't make accurate throws down field from the pocket... you are doomed to suck...

Brees completed 80% of his passes yesterday, 80% and I just saw an article on SBN criticizing him for his accuracy being off yesterday. Sometimes people will just find things to complain about in a victory.

Dak looked better, the offense as a whole looked better, but there's a way to go for everyone, all the players and coaches included, not just Dak.

For this team to really go places the offense has to score more than 14 points, their average to date. Not likely that the D will hold other teams under a 14 point average. Still, Prescott improved and love the RPOs. Linnehan opened the playbook a bit. Zeke ran for tough yards and the O-line played somewhat better. 2 stupid penalties by Tyron and La'ell totally blew off one drive. They have to clean that up. You can make the woes all about Prescott but it wouldn't be close to the truth. The offense improved but needs to improve more. Prescott did miss a TD to Rico but I expect we'll see more of Mr Gathers. Should see more of Tavon too and I'm liking what I see in Gallup. Thompson and Dak seem to have some confidence together too. It takes time or as you folks like to mimic, it's a process

Why are factual things that happened called excuses in your world?
