Dak wasn't that good last night **merged**

No..You dont understand ball controll and the reason for it, and how to achieve it..U spouting the terms..Nothing else..

You drinking? Balance kept the Giants off balance all night. Which allowed us to stay ahead of the chains. I do this for a second living and been doing it for more than 25 years. Spouting terms isn't in my nature. Rookie.

Duh, and they had balance last night. Why we won.
We won mostly on the defensive side of the ball, but Dak made plays when he had to and between Dak and Zeke, we ran just well enough to keep us in it.

I'm on record as saying that I don't think Dak is the QB of the future, but I do think he can play well enough to win some games if he's in the right scheme. He proved it last night. Our Defense could really be killer before the end of the season. I also think that with some of the pressure Marinnelli is starting to turn up, we'll be getting some more turnovers.

How about we just take the win, and recognize this team is a work in progress with a makeshift oline in the middle, new receivers and tightends finding their way. POSITIVE targets to catches yesterday for most and some clutch time consuming runs in the forth qtr!

? You saying Dak played great between the 10points scored in the first and the closing drive?

Dak was solid, the whole offense bogged down, there were penalties, drops, and I felt they tried to suck the life out of my he Giants with some runs that weren't effective. Also, don't sell the Giants defense short, they have some ballers on that side too

Who said anything different? We know they have work to do. You fools are the ones saying Dak was bad....lol

I agree with most you got there, But i think Dak can be that qb, he proved it two years ago..Maybe he just needs a healthy oline to get nice fuzzys in the game zone..

Not really, it actually refutes your point. Dallas' run percentage was #1 in 2016 and #3 in 2017. On another team he would have more attempts, thus higher yardage totals.

I really don't want to pull % but if the difference is single digits apart from 1-10, it still proves my point. Dak isn't the passer everyone makes him out to be. Is that franchise QB worthy though? that's the question.

If you just said that, not many would have argued with you, lol.

Dak has problems with pressure. His mechanics go out the window. I'll agree there. However, when kept clean he's a very good passer.

Across the first two weeks, Prescott is 6 of 17 for 51 yards with a 44.0 NFL passer rating when pressured. When he's kept clean, Prescott is 29 of 37 for 280 yards and a touchdown with a 107.2 NFL passer rating.

I dont believe i said bad as in not a nfl qb, just played badly along with the rest of the team last game (Carolina)..I really attributed most issues being the oline, as was, hey Let me get you the tape..You can educate yourself..I dont believe all one way but i dont discount the real issuez either!

Might be.

Here's the deal. Dak needs to throw more of those shots. During games. That's the only way he's going to become better at them. And he would be better already if we'd played him some in preseason.

Secondly. Watch more football. Those shots downfield are low percentage shots. All QB's miss most of them. If you're just a highlight watcher, you may not understand that.

Come on man, I'm not a Dak hater or Dak lover. I just stated a fact. He had wide open first downs on 1, maybe 2, of those deep incompletions. I'd have rather seen the drives continue with mid-range passes and some YAC than stall out with deep incompletions for the sake of live-fire practice.

I didn't see this by watching highlights, I saw it by being in the stands last night at the game, and a host of others saw it too, and half the section hollered about it.

Everyone on this board is so judgemental and quick to call everyone else wrong and stupid.

You need to start at five min. They doing it loose this one.

In 2016, he was not playing a conventional style of play for a QB. This style of play is simply not sustainable in the NFL. Yes, he's a big kid, but running RPOs all the time is a recipe to getting hurt. It's also not consistent, as the Panthers have found out with Cam Newton. I honestly think that Garrett and Linehan were trying to introduce Dak to pocket concepts in week one and he simply wet the bed.

If Dak can eventually grasp being more of a pocket passer like Russell Wilson has been developing into, then sign me up. If he's going to be a poor man's Cam, I don't want any part of it long term.

Its cool bro..Im not either, but i can take a lesson to get a more rounded take. BEFORE tape was run, i was about to get poop on a sack ready for Linehan .He actualy put together a good game plan for Carolina, the players didnt execute for anything..Not consistent..Really not ready to play!

Not really a lot of drops in either game. In the Carolina game, Dak missed a ton of throws that were open. He was better against the Giants. I think Linehan made Dak more comfortable putting him in more of a 2016 Offense than what they had planned for him. I think that there was some rust too (as he really should have played more in the pre-season).
Absolutely some rust and week 1 there were no "charged" drops.
This week there were at least 3 drops imho, though we shall see what is ruled official drop or not tomorrow when they update.

One specific one was the Gallup play. I have been overly flowery of Gallup's deep ball play but in this case he didn't give himself any room on the sideline instead focusing on his slight let up then burst move that is sweet but all vertical. Ball hit him in the hands and it would have been a beautiful play to get feet in bounds but you gotta catch that for sure.

At end of the day Dak took care of the ball and threw it away plenty but took 0 sacks, had 0 turnovers and gave NYG zero easy points.

16/25 for 160, that's a 64% completion rate and 6.4 yards par pass...which is bad onto it self......one play was for 64...which is good, but that means he was 15/24 for 96 yards.....and a paltry 4 yards per pass attempt.... that's ugly. really ugly... that means that teams don't respect the deep or medium throws and willing to gamble...yes they gave up a 64 TD pass, but that's one play....

one thing that was evident again last night, in the second half TD drive, he was setting his feet and making the throws...they were on target and had zip....then he was ugly footwork again for a lot of the other throws....
Be happy with the Win..
I'd say Dak did well enough to win the game, no picks and no sacks which is a whole lot better than week 1.
