Dak wasn't that good last night **merged**

This is common sense man.... no, he isn't going to average 300 yards throwing it 19 times or even 25 times a game, lol.
He is performing within the offense.
He is avoiding turnovers and riding a very good defense.

The key is the running game and the occasional deep shots which provide balance and loosen things up for Zeke.

Having a solid defense completely changes what we need from the QB. We don't need Dak to chase points.

Make the run game better. Be efficient. Be able to hit long shots. Don't turn over the ball.

First, that's a hardly a dumpoff. Looked like it could have been 10 to 15+ with wide open YAC.

Second, the open guy and the deep guy are practically the same line of sight. So if he couldn't see the open guy, how could he see the deep guy well enough for an accurate throw?

Idk, I feel like he missed one there, but it all worked out in the end. Felt like progress from week 1 for sure, I think the rust is shaking off.
You are looking at it from a birds eye view and not the QB's view being discussed.
Even if Dak saw the crosser he had no idea who was playing defense 10 yards in the direction that crosser was heading which is exactly how you throw picks.

I agree with this.

I think they went conservative when they figured the NYG offense was not going to do much on their own and from that point on (2nd quarter) when went conservative in order to minimize the chance of turnovers.

I get that, but I still wouldn't mind us being a tad more aggressive with the play calling. With how much Dak was running with the ball, there would have been more receivers open if they'd be more aggressive.

Yep, QB view is far different... Ground level... Impeded with moving bodies in front.

I would caution about a number of throws or passing yards..The offense is when everything in place is capable of 300 yard games, but its also capable of 225 to 250 yards passing, and 150 rushing every week with 28 points avg..That wins alot of ball games with a solid d, Efficient offense ball controll and little offensive mistakes...2014 it was about the same as 2016 alibi Romo threw tds and Dak runs an avg of six a year in..Same yards..

Dak wasn’t that good last night. He was decent. I would say a B.

That being said, can we please stop with the “if you take away the longest throw”. Blah blah blah.

I can’t stand that.

Dak has been getting ripped for not throwing deep enough, rightfully so, but now when he does throw deep, all of a sudden everybody wants to remove his credit for doing so?

On the play to Austin. Dak read the defense properly, looked off the safety, and then threw a beautiful pass that hit Austin in stride WHILE getting hit immediately after throwing. So Dak does all that, and we want to remove the play to evaluate his game?

Asinine.

Exactly, and I think he should be ENCOURAGED to do that more rather than ripped for that too. It was a brilliant play and a brilliant ball. He deserves every bit of credit for it.

I dont even worry about a yahoo crying about a receiver running through trash that he cant see through..If a qbreads and stopz looking to that side he might not come back, and if he is flushed he might not look at all..

Bro I think Dak had struggled.I think he has let the pressure affect him at times..He had said as much himself..My take is I dont blame it all on him..I realize he needs help..i dont have an issue at all there...A forth round draft pick, pushd into service early in a pressure cooker who dealing with a ******* @ Stephen causing this with the wl he has...bahawhawgawhae!

I just believe my eyes. Imo, dak played well. We won.

I will find and post the link, no different than the rumors that garrett and ROmo had a rift

To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if that were true. Romo and Garrett clearly didn't see eye to eye on a lot of things. I always thought that Romo should have been allowed to call his own plays.

After the 64 opening TD bomb to Austin, Prescott threw for 94 yrds for the remaining of the game. That is NOT going to cut it people...sorry.

Passing he was "not that good"

Rushing he was at a Cam Newton level.

Combined, he won us the game.

If Dak transforms his playing style into Cam Newton like, which I believe he has the tools to do, we're golden.

I agree, and it was lovely to see that he was able to throw such a good ball. That's what we need! I hope that we do that more. That and his legs will really give him help. His legs were what I was on about last week, and now it should be more intermediate-deep balls to take advantage of his using his legs for me this week.

Romo did, he had audible authority for run pass, or play change, and he pretty much ran the offense for Linehan and Garrett. DAK IS not that guy right now!

Oh, did he? Right then! Still, the point is that I don't think that he got on all that well with Garrett. It wouldn't surprise me if there was a rift between them.
