Dak wasn't that good last night **merged**

Dak is not an elite NFL QB. He is a runner and a game manager. He cannot make all of the throws and there are a lot of throws he cannot make consistently. An elite QB can hide some warts but it’ll take an elite team to hide this QB’s warts if the team is going to get where we want.

The lesser astute among us just don't get how well dak played last night. Giants have one of the best group of d-backs in the league. No one is going to shred that group. Dak was very effective against them.

We all can't be as "astute" as you, Bill Dance.

Right, which is why you should want the team to move on from him. Why willingly accept a future of working around your QB? It doesn't make any sense. It's like a mental illness of getting attached to players. This guy isn't a franchise QB. Enough said. Next.

We spent a 4th compensatory pick on him and pay him about $600k a year. We could have as an alternate drafted Mitch Trubisky 2nd overall and seen him be just as underwhelming as our offence

I don’t think anybody is worried about what we pay him right now. I think the fear is that we are going to make a bad move and sign him to a bigger contract.

Exactly. The sooner the experiment ends, the better.

You just have to be really astute to see how good this bum who can't move the football on a weekly basis really is. The Tebow stats are meant to distract.

If you get confused, ask a fisherman.

"Ya know, it could be worse than this" seems like a good approach toward building a team. Especially at QB.
We're not pot committed to Dak is what I meant. We haven't given him a large contract nor was a high pick used on him. He's earned the right to play out the remaining contract to see what we have though.

Fishing beats hours sitting on the porcelain throne reading football magazines and thinking you're an expert on the subject. I love the outdoors. You should give it a try. You can get started with a popeil pocket fisherman.

16/25 for 160, that's a 64% completion rate and 6.4 yards par pass...which is bad onto it self......one play was for 64...which is good, but that means he was 15/24 for 96 yards.....and a paltry 4 yards per pass attempt.... that's ugly. really ugly... that means that teams don't respect the deep or medium throws and willing to gamble...yes they gave up a 64 TD pass, but that's one play....

one thing that was evident again last night, in the second half TD drive, he was setting his feet and making the throws...they were on target and had zip....then he was ugly footwork again for a lot of the other throws....
This isn't fantasy football. The stats don't matter like you are suggesting they do. Dak was doing what he needed to do to defeat the opponent in front of him. I guess you can't see that and think it's not good enough. He is improving.

I’m always quick to jump in the golden child qb but I’ll give him credit for the way he played last night. Finally played with authority. Broke the huddle, didn’t try to do a bunch of Peyton Manning presnap stuff, just ran the play. Even ran a play action pass o time without checking it down. Ran the ball like he was pissed off. Didn’t turn the ball over when it was pretty clear the giants offense wasn’t going to do anything.

I say he played a good game last night. Def the best game since his rookie year. He’s got 14 more games before a franchise shaping decision needs to be made so let’s see if he can keep it up or if he reverts back to his old ways

Dak put the game on his shoulder and led a game winning drive and cowboys 'fans' are still complaining.
