Dak wasn't that good last night **merged**

16/25 for 160, that's a 64% completion rate and 6.4 yards par pass...which is bad onto it self......one play was for 64...which is good, but that means he was 15/24 for 96 yards.....and a paltry 4 yards per pass attempt.... that's ugly. really ugly... that means that teams don't respect the deep or medium throws and willing to gamble...yes they gave up a 64 TD pass, but that's one play....

one thing that was evident again last night, in the second half TD drive, he was setting his feet and making the throws...they were on target and had zip....then he was ugly footwork again for a lot of the other throws....
Poor Dak. Got lucky on one deep pass and then tossed three more out of bounds. Sigh... not even close.

Good thing we have a Taco.

I just hope Dak can improve ... he is young, and willing .

I also hope the F.O. can open their eyes, and can give Dak a proper coaching staff .
Lol. The best QB coach in the league is a failed QB. Everyone knows that. Get with the process.

You guys really are sad. The “bad” stats equate to a 95.4 QB rating. In comparison, Blake Bortles had a QB rating of 67.2 against these same Giants.

It's amazing how many people are pleased with Prescott's performance last night. That bar's been lowered so much that if he just fields the snap correctly we're back in business.

160 yards passing. That 64 yarder to a wide open Tavon Austin was the 3rd offensive play of the game. He had almost an entire game left to play and didn't throw for 100 yards. And this impresses people? Why? Because they won? They won that game because the defense balled out. The QB doesn't get any credit for that.

So Dak gets no credit for the only 2 touchdown drives of the game, all because of him? Lmao. To claim he gets no credit makes you look like a bigger clown than you look consistently. Explain to me how he gets no credit?

Defense won the game. Dak just didn't lose the game.

Offense won that game. On 2 drives. Because of Dak.

Everyone is crapping all over the offense but at what point is the defense going to force turnovers at more than one per game and give us a short field? Now if the defense forced a lot of turnovers, then I'd concede they won the game. But they didn't. They played very well but they hardly won us the game. Those 2 TD drives, which was the difference, had nothing to do with the defense.

So when he throws a perfect pass, and he rifled about 10 or 11 last night, it was getting lucky? A guy who completes that high of a %?

Me thinks that you're a little hurt/u mad bro that he came out and shot it deep to set the tone. Might not see a better ball all season in terms of pretty, quick decision and beating the defense over the top off play action.

LOL that ball was so far off target one little stumble didn’t keep him from getting to it. Stop making excuses for his poor mechanics. The ball sails on him because he releases it too early.
Wrong. It would have given him a chance to make the play.

Dak is not an elite NFL QB. He is a runner and a game manager. He cannot make all of the throws and there are a lot of throws he cannot make consistently. An elite QB can hide some warts but it’ll take an elite team to hide this QB’s warts if the team is going to get where we want.
Explain these throws he can't make.

When evaluating Dak's lack of passing yardage, keep in mind the Cowboy offense only had 54 snaps vs. the Giants.

That's a small number.
Using that logic, wouldn’t that mean the offense was inefficient and couldn’t sustain drives and TOP?

I saw a couple drives derailed by penalties.

What? No, that's not what it means.

I'm not a big Dak fan. But I'm not going to complain about his performance against the Gmen. His throws were more accurate. His decisions were much quicker and he was protecting the ball. Compared to the previous week, night and day. I'm hoping hes even better against the Seahags.

All the folks crowing and hanging their hats on the fact we won, glossing cover Dak’s middling performance are only fooling themselves.

You will not consistently in the NFL with your QB putting up 160-180 yard games in the air.

I can’t believe this thread has gone on, this long.

Dak was ok on Sunday. Not great, but not bad either.

It was improvement from game 1.

If he hits the Rico touchdown pass, it would make the optics of his performance much better. But he didn’t, do it is what it is.
