Why was the QB’s play last year excused but the franchise’s all-time leader in td receptions wasn't?
The QB didn't become a distraction on the sidelines. I don't know if the QB's played was "excused" but the QB was good at not bringing negative attention to himself and wasn't going to cost the team 14 million in salary to play at an average level.

I've been a fan of Dez forever and I would want him back if he would have shut his mouth when he was cut. Now I don't want a guy who trashed the team and several specific players on the team and last week when we lost to the Panthers he was trolling on twitter talking trash. How can he possibly walk into the locker room and announce "I'm back" to a team he was trash talking on twitter when they lost. That has the potential to destroy the very fragile locker room and hurt team chemistry. That could ruin the season. If we did have Romo,Wiiten, DWare back, the former alpha males of the team and team leaders that were vocal, then it may be a gamble worth taking. But not with this young team and a coach who isn't a leader and a owner that is an enabler of bad behavior.

I love Dez as a person and love him as a player but Dez can't seem to get out of his own way. He's his own worst enemy.

I would welcome the 2016 version back in a heartbeat.
If Dez hit the carpet now, with Dallas, I'm betting he would be very competitive. If he wanted to pout on the bench, so be it...keep the camera off him.

He would add a strong Red Zone presence.

Good job with keeping it real.

IMO Dez wasn't/isn't the problem. Dak doesn't have the arm. Seen anybody step up and replace him the last two games? His numbers dropped when Romo was gone. Bringing him back will help but not much. We need a real QB.

Not down playing dez’s contributions to the team and if tony was still the qb, yeah I’d be more interested.
For whatever reason, he and dak never had good chemistry. Dak is going to be here for the foreseeable future, so for me it’s a pass.

With open arms?

Not only no, but hell no.

Is he working out like he should have when he was with the Cowboys before?

Did he suddenly become a team player like he should have when he was with the Cowboys before?

Did he lose his attitude like he should have when he was with the Cowboys before?

Did he stop being a sideline cancer like he should have when he was with the Cowboys before?

Is he healthy?

There is a reason 31 other teams don't want him folks.
Man....

Laid it down....

April 13th 2018... A beautiful day in the history of the Dallas Cowboys.

Yeah. It was a huge mistake. I mean, did you see how quickly teams signed Dez to their team. Man it was so fast it made my head spin! Lol

The Dez apologists will never get over the fact that their boy is not currently playing for the Dallas Cowboys for 14.5 mil (like they said he'd be...) I know a few of us that said he wouldn't.. :omg: 31 other teams and he's still pounding out his little Twitter tantrums on his burner acct...lol
The Patriots gave up a 5th rounder for a pothead that may not be able to keep his lips from around a puff for the whole season over the loveable Dez. Just let that one sink in.

We'll have to read about how someone else is always responsible for Dez's mistakes again.
I think dez was just saying Dakota has accuracy issues and only after Dak threw dez under the bus with the have to throw it right into his hands as if he could anyway

Yea, that definitely put me off with Dak. Guy certainly has his own flaws and Dez had plenty of battle scars for Dallas and played his butt off for the franchise.

Wonder what Dez must be thinking right about now?

The Pats coulda signed him anytime in the last @6mos, after the Cowboys cut him, but they showed no interest. Zero. Zilch. Nada. None whatsoever.

Then Josh Gordon, a bigger s—t disturber than Dez ever was, gets cut by the Browns and NE scoops him up a coupla days later.
