I think Dak's best comparison is Steve McNair

McNair always put up numbers like 15-27 for a 170 yards and like 30-40 yards rushing. He had a prime Eddie George and Jamal Lewis with high quality olines with players such as Bruce Matthews, Joanthen Odgen etc. Similarly, to us with Zeke and our oline. The most tds McNair ever had in a season was 24. I think this is the best comparison you can make for Dak. He's not Mcnabb. He's not Russel Wilson. Etc. Opinions

I agree.

I think Alex smith is also a good comparison.

I think our expectations are too high for DAK right now.

His rookie season set a high bar.

What we are seeing is actually pretty normal in this league.

Somebody has success..

teams adjust..

then the team has to adjust to the adjustments.

I think DAK will be fine.

Luck enters the picture, too.

Let's hope he remains lucky.

That would be the closest unless we reach back for Bobby Douglass.

The difference is the NFL was not as pass dependent back then so they could get by with that. Unless a team has a 00 Ravens or 03 Bucs D, <200 yards passing a game isn't going to cut it unless they're over 150 rushing.

McNair's a decent comp, but it's silly to compare passing yards from that era to this one. 200 yards in 1999 is a lot different than 200 yards today.

Dak's closest contemporary is still Cam.

I don't think Douglass is a match at all. He truly had nothing but his legs. McNair seems like a pretty fair comparison though.
