I don't want a WR that expensive with the mentality of a 5 year old who needs a gunslinger to make him productive.

And stop about Antonio Brown. Apples to Oranges.

Maybe you forgot Bryant refused to sign a franchise tag and threatened to not play unless he got a long term deal. Then, he gets a bloated salary and sucked balls. Before Prescott.

Brown is elite. Bryant was/is not.

to say Dez was not elite is denying reality. EVERY WR needs a qb to be productive. Jordy Nelson was on fire last year... then Rodgers got hurt and he SUCKED
What did AB do when Ben was down?
Dez refused to sign a franchise tender??? and?? thats not a hold out.... he had no obligation to sign a franchise tag.... see LeVeon Bell
I never understand why FANS think they have some right to say what a man should do when they try to get paid in a career with a very short window to get paid. Boy, its a good thing AB doesnt need a gunslinger.....bahahhaha. pay attention to the damn game before you spew out such stupidity.

Name me one WR right now that has kick *** numbers that has a conservative qb that throws almost all of his passes between 5-7 yards down field?

Dez was never elite. Get over your tough guy act, it ain't working.

Lets go over this again. Dez wouldn't sign the tag AND THREATENED TO HOLD OUT. Then he got a bloated salary and sucked right after. But yeah, lets blames the QBs.

Not elite.

Through last year, Dak threw downfield at about the same rate as Romo did for his career.

Also, Dez averaged his highest yards per catch in 2016 (15.9). He also had his lowest yards after catch that year (2.8). Simple math dictates that the ball must have traveled further in the air that year than in any other year and a per reception basis. Kind of hard to do that throwing almost all of his pass between 5-7 yards downfield. That happened with Dak as his QB.

Dez's stats also weren't that bad for 2016 considering he got hurt in the Chicago game and then missed the next 3 games and sat out most of week 17. He also had his best playoff game with Dak. He needed to be put on a milk carton after the 2014 playoff games.

If that is your criteria .. who is elite recievers in the NFL?
Not the only criteria, but Bryant was not elite. He racked up a bunch of numbers a couple of seasons and was invisible the rest. He battled injuries and missed games.
It's one of those words or phrases fans misuse. Elite is the best of the best. Not top 15-20.

Even though I think Dez would contribute immediately, I think the ship has sailed on him being a Cowboy again. Too many open wounds between him and the team at this point...
Agree, how do they patch this up between him and McClay, Lee and Yosemite to start with because what McClay did was uncalled for and I have never heard anyone in management say anything negative about a player leaving the team. They didn't even do that when Owens blew up in SF and PHL, they just shut up and let him walk.

And how do they play this to the media, which is so important to Booger? Booger didn't cut his relationship with Bryant but what about the others? And does Dak want him back? And his best "friend' on the team has retired. Witten was his rock in the storms he helped create.

Of course you dont.

Is ODB elite?
Is Julio Jones elite?
Seriously, how could anyone read that mess?
There's much more potential for them to be, but their careers haven't petered out.

Cool! More insults and name calling. Good talk!

There's more to consider than JUST his TDs.

yeah, romo going down for all of 15 had little to do with Dez numbers dropping....

No. There's a reason he's remained unsigned. Just about every NFL team has a guy on their roster already that can give them declining Dez-levels of production.

At this point he's just a volume receiver, a body. Him dropping bitter pills on twitter makes me want him even less. Hard pass.
Yep, this isn't like other situations and he does not seemed to have changed at all. Taking public shots at the OC is ridiculous.

Bryant doesn't get it. It's not just the fact his production has fallen off, he's not a great route runner and too dependent on the 50/50 ball. His childish use of social media because he's still butt hurt is seen by every potential employer. Who in the hell wants that in their locker room or on the sideline? That's his rep and all he's doing is reinforcing that. His agent has an idiot for a client.
