Vegas now has us as an underdog by 1 point, whereas we started out at three. This means on a neutral field, we'd be up by 2. I like it. Those are really slim odds that can easily be beaten with good execution. Don't be shocked if the betting line becomes a tossup at game time. We're in it, folks! ;)

Seattle is a bad football team...we should be favored and the only reason we aren't is the major home field advantage they have

Well, curiously enough, many of our insider guys on the DC website were predicting a Seattle win. Go figure. I think it's a tossup if it's not to our advantage to win, however. The loud stadium crowd and Wilson's running and passing have given us trouble in the past. I'm still hoping we'll vacate Seattle with a "W" anyway, though. Our pass rush is better than it was in the past, so there's that, despite Wilson's quick feet. I think we'll compete well, for sure.

It is really a bizarre drama.

I see two scenarios:

The most likely to me.....both teams have agreed to terms. Part of those terms is that Thomas will not play for either team on Sunday, and they agreed to remain mum until after the game. That includes Thomas, who they don't want around the locker room talking to other players. Thomas is laying low.

The other scenario could be that Thomas is mad and trying to force their hand. He doesn't want to play in this game because he thought he would be here by now. Dallas met the 2nd round demand, and Seattle balked for a 1st, and now Thomas feels lied to.

I also think perhaps the reason that Jourdan Lewis isn't playing is that Seattle wants him in the trade.

All speculation, or course, which is interesting and fun at the moment.

The only thing we know for sure is something is up, and yes, it involves the Cowboys and Thomas extreme desire to be here as quickly as possible.

I'm also certain that Schneider would love to trade Thomas ANYWHERE but here so he doesn't get what he wants. But teams aren't going to give up much for a guy they have little chance of signing long-term so long as Dallas comes close to matching in the offseason.

Meanwhiile, Seattle is looking at 0-3 and a season over the very day they have their home opener.

Seattle is in a bad situation, and the hated Cowboys have them cornered like a wounded animal. It's ugly.

Excellent post......I agree with every word!!

I get it, only week 3 and still too many unknowns...also it is Seattle's home opener so makes sense...

However, they will be without Baldwin and their oline is worse than the giants...wilson has no good reciveving options and their defense is average esp compared to what it was.

If Dallas goes in with the same level of intensity on defense and has a versatile attack to set up the run then we should have a similar experience as last week.....key will be reducing drive killing penalties and staying patient

If he does not play after playing in the first two games, I would have to agree with erod first scenario about something already has gone down between the teams and just waiting for the end of this game to get it done.

Earl Thomas is the same age as Wilson and wants paid. That you'd rather go that route for a safety than a QB is comical.

Try again, "capologist". :muttley:
ET is younger and I was comparing Dak to Wilson..... Dak is 5 years younger and for running QBs that is huge......Wilson gets most of his value with his legs

It seems that maybe he is starting to stay in the pocket a little more these last few years. Likely trying extent his career.

Going forward from today I would Dak ....... this isn't about his entire career..... just from now on

Because they had a season to play, and they wanted to showcase him for other teams.

However, they laid two very ugly eggs, and they're about to lay another one Sunday. Baldwin is out. Wagner is 75%. Thomas is refusing to play. They can't protect Wilson, and the Cowboys are second in the league in sacks. Wright is out. They can't run the ball. Their top rusher has 75 yards.

Now, playing Thomas is absolutely pointless. They could hurt a guy who's three months from gone no matter what anyway. They could get nothing for him. And he can play injured all year and watch their team have to muddle through it.

As soon as Thomas is gone, they can get on to their rebuild.

So, if he plays next week...
He did not look "world beater" against Chicago. Maybe the coaches saw him putting in minimal effort and mentioned his lackadaisical play, which led to him pouting. Then, both the coaching staff and Thomas mutually agreed that on this Sunday it would not be good for him to be on the field.

I was talking about wilson staying by in the pocket these last few years. I want Dak to continue to run for a while, seemed to kick start our Offense.

Didnt the lose another OL in their game against the Bears? I know wagner will be back for them but we have Dlaw RG Danote Jones back they are going to have a hard time running or passing the ball. If our Offense can score anything we win this game.

What a way to wear out a D, than to pound it with one of the top 3 backs in the game today. Eats up the clock and keeps Wilson on the bench.

Then there’s this ....

UPDATE, 8:21 p.m.: Dallas Cowboys COO/Executive VP/Director of player personnel Stephen Jones said the organization was not currently involved in any trade talks with any NFL team.

"No we're not," Jones told 105.3 KRLD-FM The Fan after being asked if the Cowboys were having any current trade conversations.

"Not exchanging any calls or any information at this point, and just totally focused on going to play the Seahawks."
