Dak wasn't that good last night **merged**

The offense was better in 2014. You are missing other opportunities. Not just Seattle.
2014 vs. GB was the wrong gamble in that situation.
2011 vs NYJ, he fumble again at the end. At the goal line. Then, he throws an INT.
2008 vs. Pittsburgh he throws a pick 6 in week 14.
2013 vs Denver - Another late INT somehow gets covered up by passing for 500.
2012 vs Washington week 17 for the division, Romo throws 3 INTs.
2008 Divisional vs. NY. Another game ending INT.
2008 Week 17 vs. the Eagles - Romo is 21 for 39, 183 yards in the 44-6 loss. Rating of 55.8. Worst performance all year.

Just off the top of my head. He just wasn't built for the late or postseason. When opportunities presented themselves to do what everyone expects Prescott to do every game, Romo just couldn't get it done.
And really that is the tip of the iceberg. There were many, many more. And he was constantly bashed because if it. And people rightfully defended the dude because he was solely blamed. Me and you being two avid Romo defenders.

Now you have these fans who have seemingly forgotten Romo had his problems and have convinced themselves it was everyone’s fault but Romo’s and try to build him up to be something he was not while finding everything to bash Dak for.

Earlier in the week Collins made the statement that Dak would have to beat him. This showed the Giants did not respect Dak. These plays were designed perfect for Dak to capitalize on Landon Collins over pursuing the run and forgetting that he has coverage responsibilities. When Dak went in a throwing position on the televised version I heard all of the linemen scream pass. That is when Collins turns his head and realized he was caught with his hand in the cookie jar.

To set the record straight, Dak did beat Landon Collins, checkmate.

I appreciate your enthusiasm. Dak played an ok game. On this play in particular though, no, Dak didn't beat Landon Collins. Collins was not involved anywhere in the coverage. He didn't have deep responsibility. Good play by Dak. Good play by the team. Has nothing to do with Collins though.

I completely agree. I'd rather they went back to Romo, but acknowledged that Dak has a great, all-time rookie campaign, Just felt better with Romo than an inexperienced rookie leading the team. I like Dak and hope he succeeds, but he is behind the curve in getting Pro concepts. Carolina game completely highlights this.

As Daks biggest supporter I freely admit that he has things to work on. I really think some of it is mentally. He needs to just let it loose sometimes.

Yeah, that's one theory. Kind of playing not to lose. I still don't think he's completely grasped what an open receiver is the NFL.

2013 game against Denver...... I’m thinking our defense getting torched for 50plus had more to do with a loss than any Romo late pick. Using that game as any argument to put Romo in a negative light is a joke.

Yea. That is what they hope. So we can replace him with a quarterback who fits their description. It’s sad....

Exactly, as opposed to realizing that Dak has certain styles that are his strengths. It's why I pleaded all last week for us to let Dak run more. If he can run like he did against NYG against Seattle, then he should be able to take deep shots if we want. There will be opportunities. But, above all, I want him to keep playing smart football.

Anticipation possibly. OR just too afraid to let it loose. Wants to make sure the guy is open.

You are absolutely correct, my friend. Too bad the hatred blinds some people from seeing the reality of the situation.

No it’s not a joke. Romo was infamous for those kinds of blunders. Just as our D was getting torched. Sonwas theirs. You act like we were blowing the Broncos out and our defense crumbled and let them back in it. When in fact we had to claw our way back to make it respectable. In the end it became a seesaw battle that came down to which quarterback would make a play. Unfortunately Romo failed in the end. Stop the BS

Exactly, and that's why the post about the lack of explosive plays by this offence is irrelevant to me. I'm more worried about what our team is doing, and I'd rather we have long and smart drives than take unnecessary chances that lead to turnovers in the hopes of being "explosive". THAT is how you cause problems for your DEFENCE. Let other teams try to take those chances. That will benefit our defence with how they've been playing.

In fact, if opposing offences are trying to take a lot of shots on our defence, then that should mean that they're getting desperate with how long we're taking offencively.

A team puts up 49 pats and you think any blame..... ANY blame is at the feet of the qb for the loss? Gtfoh

Our offense scored 8 in the opener and you daksters are blaming it on no oline and wrs that can’t get open.....lol

You have to have some big plays.

Otherwise, it's just a matter of when you get that holding call, dropped pass, fumble or stuffed 3rd down run.

Big plays eliminate lots of opportunities for mistakes.

I totally agree. We’ve suffered through the gunslinger years 2006-20015 without anything more than a few wildcard wins. How quick they forget those heartbreaking moments.

Wasn't Romo's blunder. It was Ty Smith's. he let himself get bull rushed right into Romo and messed with Romo's follow-through.

And that is purely on the QB, right? NOT!
