Boy I’m glad Dallas didn’t trade a 1st or 2nd for him. I guarantee you, that would happen to us. He’d get injured and we’d all be sitting here going...”Great! Sea got out pick and we got nothing for the year.”

You thought players who get hurt in games and go on IR no longer get paid? Some contracts can have clauses that reduce the pay but I doubt players like ET have to sign those kinds of deals.

Like rework deals. like in baseball trades.

This is exactly why he wanted his extension that he deserved, and that Seattle refused to do so. They fined him for wanting a contract that he had earned with the time and results he had given them. Now he's going into an uncertain free agency with no long term contract.

Truly feel bad for the guy and what Seattle has done to him.

They had no intentions on signing him. They just dangle him around as trade bait seeking a kings ransom. There was legit offers by teams. They took away from a man's family and took away legit interest from other teams. They denied the right for Earl to move on with his life after full filing his contract to the tee. I highly doubt they will resign him.

He held out for a reason

it sucks because they wouldn't deal him to us and because Dallas needs the help at safety
it makes everyone better (Chido, Byron, Brown etc)
the guy basically skipped the offseason, pulled up on game day and got an interception
2 games later he almost single-handily beat Dallas
if he was dressed in Dallas uniform, Cowboys win that game even as bad as the offense was

Cool he got cheaper for next off season

Oh and karma for being a prick all game

Act like the all pro you are and pretend like you’ve been there before

This is so moronic. Typical couch potato fan who think these players aren't human and see them as pawns. Cheering on an injury for multiple reasons. Typical classless sports fan. The whole "fall in line to my line of thinking or hopefully bad injuries happen". So ignorant and trashy.

Because he bowed to our sideline, he deserved a broken leg? Lmao. Typical trashy, ignorant sports fan.

Seattle will certainly be considered foolish for this, particularly when that team doesn't advance to the post season and could have been sitting in the 2019 draft with a 3rd round draft pick.

They might franchise Thomas next year, but otherwise they will get nothing for him except maybe a compensatory pick, which you could argue is the reason why they wouldn't trade for less than a 2nd.

It’s the way the world is unfortunately and it isn’t limited to sports. I’ll just leave it at that.

I don’t blame him for being pissed, either. A career in football doesn’t last forever after all and he wanted one more payday because an injury could happen at any time.

This injury may cost him millions.
