Just say no...It would be embarrassing at this point. Dez would help just enough we would miss out on the draft player. With him here this year Dallas still doesn't get to "That" game.

Don't see this happening, now, not after he dissed Garrett. And I know many of us think Garrett should go, but I find it inconceivable and it setting a bad precedence to bring in a player that publicly disrespected your current head coach.

Yeah, some girls are worth fighting for, just like some ex-boyfriends double down on all their problematic behavior and prove how right the girl was to dump him.

We felt he had unrealistic expectations about how much he was financially worth. He went on to turn down contracts, proving he's still got unrealistic, entitled demands even after the marketplace splashing cold water on his fantasies.

We felt he was a headache off the field. He pitched public hissy fits, attacking our coaches and players.

We felt he'd deteriorated and wasn't the player he used to be. Did he respond to the release by immediately moving into the gym, suddenly full of fire and determination to get in peak shape and prove how good he is again? No, he's made it sound like half the reason he hasn't gotten more serious about finding a new team was because he hadn't yet bothered getting into shape so he was ready to roll right away. So in addition to our worries that he was getting worse with age, it sounds like he's added a whole new issue by getting too lazy to even put in the work anymore.

Ugh. Not even a little interested.

Great breakdown.

For me, the point where I realized Dez didn't care was when he turned down the Ravens' contract offer. Given his last 3 seasons, 3 years $21 million was a pretty generous offer, and he declined because he thought he could "rebuild his value" higher than that. This tells me Dez either

-is delusional about how much money he's actually worth
-or doesn't actually want to play pro football that badly.

I'd guess the answer is B. Dez doesn't seem like a guy who'd be smart with money, but he collected 3 seasons on his big contract (I'm guessing he probably earned around $40 million) and he'd never need to work again if he saved even 5% of it. Regardless of money, he's always had that thirst for drama and the spotlight, and he probably figures it's easier to get it now with a cell phone than to work 12 hour days for it Tuesday-Saturday and get beat up on Sunday.

Bringing back Dez will be like the days of Phil Costa at Center and George Selvie as our pass rush hope...........

I take this as Bryan implying Dez knows something.

Would explain his concert night with Jerry.

Jerry might want him back and probably would consider it...Garrett & Linehan not so much.

I hate that play. It only makes sense when the efficiency is high. Romo and Dez at their best had that. Dez now with Dak won't. Stop calling that play and just run the ball.

It's a viable option on 3rd down when you do have to pass from time to time.

..yeah...Wow..!! I actually feel bad for him. But in primary perspective he brought this upon himself. Dallas could use him, of course. At the same time could mess up chemistry that is being built.
chemistry between whom? we have one of the worst offenses in the NFL.... if you think there is some great chemistry on the team, Id hate to see us with bad chemistry.
