We don’t know what went on in that locker room.
If he was such a problem that we needed to remove him because of it, it would be silly to come back, tail tucked between our legs, and bring him back only because we couldn’t find someone better.
If the primary reason for his release was that he was declining in production and we thought we could get someone better.. well, yeah, we could probably use him back. He’s a flawed, declining player. But we failed to secure anyone better this offseason.
This was squarely supposed to be an addition by subtraction move. Hard to say that we are actually better because of it.
