Don't have my smoker, so gonna try baby backs slow-cooked in the oven and hope for the best

If you're gonna sauce them, do that at the end and put them under the broiler, makes a huge difference and the bark is as good as the grill or smoker. Did that the last time and I may not go back to the smoker with baby backs.

Mimosas right now, beer to pace myself throughout the day and wine tonight. Starting off with leftover pepperoni rolls from yesterday, then shish kabobs and Grimaldis pizza for late night.

Never go cheap on your Bourbon selection. Been loving my Benchmark 8 or Makers Mark but both Liquor stores had neither near my house so settled on Old Crow before they closed last night. MISTAKE!!!!! Anyhow I am now nursing a hangover from the likes I have not had in years.

Thinking maybe the early gameday menu calls for some hair of the dog. Thinking spicy marys with picked asparagus as a garnish. After the brain and belly feel better I will decide dinner..... As of now I am feeling too lazy and it is looking like Stoffer's meat lovers lasagna.

Anyhow, go Cowboys......

Got back this morning from 3 days fishing the keys. So it's grouper and snapper cooked whole stuffed with oranges, lemons, fennel and a lot of other stuff. Watching the giants getting owned at the moment. Bon apetit, zoners.

I'm at work, so the hospital cafeteria served up cheese stuffed burgers and onion rings. Will settle in tonight at half time with crafted beer and sushi.

Made my own dry rub and was thinking I might put some sauce on at the end. My worry under the broiler is carmalization, don't want it too sweet.

Mix some of your rub in with the sauce and, like Coach suggested, sauce your ribs at the end and slap ‘em under the broiler (on high) for @7-10mins.

You’ll get some carmelization, but unless your sauce and/or rub is super-sugary, over-sweetness shouldn’t be an issue, while the crusty bark it produces will be worth it.

Bro, it's a lazy Sunday for me as well. I went and picked up a mixed (beef & chicken fajita) Mexican botana for 2 people (servings). It comes with spanish rice, beans, tortilla chips, guacamole, diced onions, diced tomatoes, salad, a soup, two kinds of salsas, corn tortillas and sliced limes. Going to drink it down with an ice cold Bud Lite Clamato w/lime and a Natty Rush w/lime. CHEERS!!!! GO COWBOYS!!!!

I have given tri-tip more than a fair chance out here but just can't get into it. It is ok if smoked but any other way of cooking is just not good to me. It is a rarity to come across a true brisket, everything is tri-tip this and tri-tip that
