I was listening to sirius satellite radio and they were discussing some possible trades, none of which involved the Cowboys. They were pondering what moves the Eagles might make and suggested that they might go for a running back.
That started the wheels to running about what Dallas might do. I don't really see the Cowboys making a serious move to add a player, but would Dallas PART with a player given the right consideration?
What does Dallas have that someone might actually want. Zeke, but I don't think we would move him, unless it was for a king's ransom.
But we do have some OL that have a pretty significant reputation in the league. Fredbeard and Martin can't be moved. Cap hit would probably limit Tyron from being moved. On the other hand Collins COULD conceiveably be moved.
Teams like the Vikings could be looking for OL help and they have been trying to get over the hump. That's just an example, of course.
If Dallas loses against the Jags, and go to 2 and 4 they would still be in the hunt for the division, but would probably be the dark horse to get back in the race. Would we blow up this line and start over?
I wouldn't say we are looking to do that, but if someone offered a 2nd and a 4th for Collins would you make that move? If you want to make a play for a QB next year that draft ammo would come in handy. You could also replace Collins for a 2nd and endure the growing pains if we decide on a rebuild.
