I was listening to sirius satellite radio and they were discussing some possible trades, none of which involved the Cowboys. They were pondering what moves the Eagles might make and suggested that they might go for a running back.

That started the wheels to running about what Dallas might do. I don't really see the Cowboys making a serious move to add a player, but would Dallas PART with a player given the right consideration?

What does Dallas have that someone might actually want. Zeke, but I don't think we would move him, unless it was for a king's ransom.

But we do have some OL that have a pretty significant reputation in the league. Fredbeard and Martin can't be moved. Cap hit would probably limit Tyron from being moved. On the other hand Collins COULD conceiveably be moved.

Teams like the Vikings could be looking for OL help and they have been trying to get over the hump. That's just an example, of course.

If Dallas loses against the Jags, and go to 2 and 4 they would still be in the hunt for the division, but would probably be the dark horse to get back in the race. Would we blow up this line and start over?

I wouldn't say we are looking to do that, but if someone offered a 2nd and a 4th for Collins would you make that move? If you want to make a play for a QB next year that draft ammo would come in handy. You could also replace Collins for a 2nd and endure the growing pains if we decide on a rebuild.

    I'd trade Prescott in a heartbeat.

Teams might be beating down our doors to get that kicker Jeff Heath. Another guy I would move since his value is high right now is Byron Jones. But instead we will over pay to keep him.

I'll trade you a Jack in the Black for some Don Padron!

But why change the dynamics of a direction taken by the team, since the lockout...just for effect?

2nd and 4th for Collins, I take it in a heartbeat. We need all the ammo we can get in the draft.

They aren’t going to trade the only good OL they have at the moment.

The OL has not been terrible. It just hasn’t been the best in the league which is the philosophy this team was built on with no wiggle room on what to do if it isn’t.

And you’re using your 2nd to replace him (as we saw with Connor Williams it’s not that easy from day 1)

and the 4th you’re hoping to maybe move up 5 spots in the 3rd to get another pick like Gallup who will take time to develop.

No thanks. I’ll just find a coach that can get Collins back to playing like he was end of last year

There was an article the other day about potentially logical deadline trades.....one of which had us trading for Miami WR Devante Parker for a 6th round pick.....Nothing too exciting but Id do it......Im still more excited about Herbert, Haskins, Lock or Grier as our #1 pick next Spring though hopefully.......

I want as much draft ammo as we can get for a potential move up if possible.

Trading Collins would essentially be folding the season. I don't see them doing that.

But it's an interesting play from a player perspective. Williams is probably better long term at RT than LG. I think they move him there and let Collins walk in 2020 anyway.

I think that their strategy on the oline was to churn LGs before Willams dropped to us. It's the easiest position to plug and play a vet cheap.

Our FO is notoriously bad at making trades that work in our favor.

I'm not suggesting that Collins should be moved but he is a movable player with value. If we don't plan on keeping him around when his contract expires we should move him if the compensation is greater than a 3rd round comp pick.

Chris Hogan from the pats is who I want

Players with some sort of trade value (to someone) that wouldn't wreck us long-term-
