The jury is still out on the pick, the guy hasn't played a down yet. I don't think the FO thinks this team is a wide receiver away and neither do I. But I think anyone could see the talent at WR was seriously lacking. The Boys needed an upgrade, Cooper became available and the move has potential to pay huge dividends even if Cooper doesn't post Pro bowl #'s.

Honestly, I am not fuming about this trade. I don't think we would've been in range to grab N'Keal Harry, and we likely would've been picking between 14-20 and grabbed a WR to develop.

Cooper is an immediate add who due to the synergies from him being on the field, will open up the field for more plays from Swaim and Beezy, as a result it will allow Gallup to develop quicker and play against weaker WRs, in combination, this will allow Dak and Zeke to run the ball more effectively.

I think this board is fuming largely because of the stigma around a 1st round pick. If this was a 2nd, I'd say great move.

Usually good players get better as they go along, not worse.

That's with a usual coaching staff. In this case you would have to ask what happens to players under jg, linehan, and kellen moore. All I know is that Dak was at his best when he came in without our staffs fingerprints all over him. Can he get back to that? IDK but under this regime I would have to say no.

Tony all but said it on air during the game. What we need under this coaching staff is a qb with enough experience, cache, and cajones to overrule everything called in from the sideline. Dak is a young guy who's just doing what he's told, which is the worse thing to do in this situation.

4th overall pick in 2015 draft. Has trouble with press coverage. Kind of gave up on his team. He's basically Dez without the mouth and isn't as passionate about the game. Oh, and he's usually most effective in the slot, which you know, is the leprechaun's gig.

I expect nothing immediate from Cooper. We gave away a 1st for Cooper's 5th year option and half a season of Cooper learning our system. It's madness.

Nope not even a 3rd. And it’s not because he’s a bad WR,he’s good and the best WR on the market. It’s that the team and staff are dysfunctional,and the other two times they pulled this WR trade stunt speaks for itself. This will be no different.
They simply aren’t winners,and need to wake up and quit trying to turn a lemon into a orange.

Yeah...that’s the kind of numbers he’ll get in this offense if that. I don’t understand what Dallas is trying to build anymore. They keep throwing all these WRs at the wall...and moving chairs around. Like what about the o-line? The QB? The system and coaching?
