Exactly . Jones and the other guys getting caught by the blockers. It seem like the punt returner always a clear 10 yards when he fields the punt against our punt coverage except for that one play by Goodwin.

He's like a byron clone. Combine warrior with **** instincts and can't play safety at the nfl level.

Make him our starting SS and work on finding a FS who can ballhawk.

He’s basically a rookie. Young guys can improve.

sign him if healthy ... this is an R1 talent (dirt cheap), he just needs a coach and aggression

normally I'd not look at a S lacking intensity on tape, but like Jones, Heath, and Brown, the raw talent is there
the draft does weird things like drafting Obi too high and Brown too low

IMO, this is not an old school 6'4" rangy man over FS, but has serious upside at SS - potential Barry Church with speed,

a box S who can man up with any TE matters, he'd be in plays Frazier and Woods just can't get to

also and maybe most important - a tight window throw toward him is real dumb with his reach and explosive step

What have they got to lose? It's not like S is a position of strength or Gruden's throwing out the trash. Cooper can also give them some insight since he practiced against him.

Man, you look at the Giants and Raiders now and it's a race to the top...…...of the draft order.

I read this article that Gruden wants his own guys in there, just what are Gruden guys? All grinders? I also read where the team was more upset about Cooper and the circumstances than losing Mack, a top 3 D player in the league.

One thing puzzling me is why keep Reggie McKenzie on as GM, does he know what a Gruden guy is? Evidently, Gruden guys are drafts picks yet to be determined. Does Gruden fashion himself as the latter day Jimmy Johnson?
