Callahan and Tony Sparano could wait a sec to run away from Garrett, tells you Gattetts doesn’t want anyone who has different style than his or question his style, reason why we are stuck with same offense system for 10 yearsWe should fire garrett, and linehand and bring back callahan from the Commanders. Notice how well their o line is playing
It’s JG 90’s playbook. So predictable that it takes unreal execution. When we put up 40 points we used misdirection. Did we see that much in the deadskins game?Callahan and Tony Sparano could wait a sec to run away from Garrett, tells you Gattetts doesn’t want anyone who has different style than his or question his style, reason why we are stuck with same offense system for 10 years
Yes, I did lolBy the way, OP, do you mean B-R-O-A-D-D-U-S?
remember how people raged over his play calling and Garrett eventually demoted him which led to his case of red *** and leaving for the Skins?I do miss Callahan he made this line magic for a few years
There are a number of good assistants in the NFL and I would like to see the Cowboys get an offense minded guy in here who has ability working with QBs. John DeFilippo and Matt Nagy would be good candidates to interview for the job. Both have worked their way up the ranks and have studied under successful Head Coaches. Would like to see the new guy leave the defensive side of the ball alone, perhaps elevating Richard to DC if Marinell will retire.
Columbo certainly had that Neanderthal mentally when he played, He bullied ppl for 3 good years.I liked the Alexander hire at the time...but why would he change their "technique"???
It doesnt seem to be working so I would dump Alexander and promote Colombo.
I still believe in Tyron Smith...makes sense you screw with the mans swing,it affects his game.
His "technique" was fine before they screwed around with it...give Colombo a shot.
Get back to bein' Neanderthal ***-Kickers.
I say yes for a few reasons.
1) Early the week Bryan B. (I can’t spell his last name) hinted that olinemen from the beginning didn’t like Alexander and his techniques.
3) Columbo played at a pro bowl level for a few years in the NFL (the players respect him) I’ve listened to multiple interviews with Olinemen talking positively about him.
2) Columbo has been the assistant since 2015 but was working with Dallas without an official title since 2013 (I believe, could be wrong)
Just an early morning thought. It’s not like the Kellen Moore move because Columbo has Coaching experience, has already been around these players for years, and wouldn’t be a child coach.
Was thinking one level up and replacing Garrett rather than tinkering with assistants. Forgot Nagy was with Bears. A good young Reid protege that could benefit the Cowboys QB situation. While I was in the shower, it dawned on me that we had a rookie guard, perhaps a decade ago, that played with the Cowboys for a while named Nagy. I'm wondering if it might possibly be the same one.
Note: I just googled it and Matt Nagy is the Head Coach of the Chicago Bears. Not sure he's a viable candidate for our OL coach.
If he just went back and coached last years technique that could help though I think some of the issues are new center, new left guard, Martin and smith not 100%Intriguing just don't know how well he can coach...one thing is fairly clear, we could use an upgrade on our coaching staff at oline
It was on talkin Cowboys the Wednesday or Thursday show. DL the Cowboys app.link to this hint?
btw I voted no because it sounds like a rumor and when the team is bad the fingers point everywhere

Dirty Harry Callahan was/is a great OL Coach. Carrot ran him out the door.Food for thought -- I'd think there's someone associated with the NFL in some way who'd know of a better option than Alexander. Needless to say, the crap really hit the fan when we lost Callahan.
This sounds exactly like a Jason Garrett quote. The regression of the OL is obviously too serious to ignore. Nevertheless, the offseason is the time to make such a change. Whether it's destined to involve Colombo or not is best determined by someone with closer inside knowledge than the fans on this website.
Our OL is a continuation of 2017. They struggled a lot. It was deflected and blamed on the Zeke suspension, but Denver & Atlanta last year left a lasting impression. And we struggled last year in the passing game too. It is the same O with the same HC & OC running it.For sure....something has to be said for cohesiveness year over year
There's no salary cap for coaches. Throw the bank at Bill Callahan.
