Which isn't uncommon - coaches' styles wearing on players.

But it doesn't change the fact that Johnson did more than "just motivate" players in your bizarre analogy or whatever you are attempting here between Garrett and Johnson.

Johnson was a much better coach - on just about every aspect of the job.

What else did he do genius?

Yes he did, he was great at it, he had the fear factor that coaches today don't, due to salary cap constraints, until it started to where thin on the players according to Jay Novecek in the book boys will be boys.

Jimmy had whipping boys, and the team stayed together due to the Coordinators. If not for Norv Turner, Jimmy would never have had a productive Troy Aikman, or offensive side of the ball...and it was Jerry who brought him in as a last resort following Jimmy's failed directions for a coordinator. Jimmy had become a bit of a name tosser and gave the job originally to the Son of Miami's Head Coach, Don Shula.

Do you know what personal means?

You are getting heated again. You may want take in a ball game.

Clapping may relieve some of that pent up anger, so I've heard. Slap a man's butt if that doesn't work, you know you want to.

Jimmy was an innovator, on the field, in the draft room and as a GM.

I am sure he would do okay. Your concern, albeit misplaced, is touching.

What innovation? He did nothing at Miami during the salary cap era.

He won 2. He also had the best team money could buy

Belichick says hello. His teams are plug-n-play. Andy Reid says hello. Sean Peyton says hello. Last years Eagles say hello. The Rams say hello. I'm sure I'm leaving out some. You honestly think Garrett and his staff could do the same with any of those teams?

Well there's your problem......... many feel (mostly Garrett supporters) believe this team hasn't failed at all.

That seems to be the way of the burn barrel buddies...but if one doesn't get up and dust off after being put on one's butt, then he is a quitter. Getting up and continuing, means picking up with mission. That is a winner.

Rancher can arrange a direct one - on - one meeting and we'll just see how strong your real convictions are...

Okay, I'm fine with that, I doubt either of us are too immature for a tete-a-tete.

I'll have to remind you that you called him a stuffed shirt, non-pertinent to current Cowboys, and had sold out for profit. You changing your words now? Mr. Adult...as to tits, that's another topic.

If he's such a good 'ol buddy, arrange a meeting and we'll all be there!

You really should know your history before trying to start a pissing match.

Are you truly not aware that Jimmy created the draft trade value chart?

Or that Jimmy introduced team speed (vs. the more popular planet theory, bigger is best) back into the NFL?

Or that he reinvigorated the 4-3 Over (different from the 4-3 under being used) during the zenith of the 3-4?

Not winning a championship at Miami does not erase the success and innovations he had in Dallas.

Are you sure you're a Cowboys fan?

We'll then, let's talk about Garretts accomplishments since he's been the Cowboys HC? I wonder if there's room in the rafters for a "players play hard for him" banner? Or maybe a "home field thru-out means nothing here" banner? How many more excuses does Garrett get?
He's not making excuses for Garrett. He wants him gone too.
It's just the "clapping", "red hair", "butt slapping", etc. has no bearing whatsoever on anything, and some people bring them up as if they're part of his faults. It honestly does lessen the impact of an otherwise valid point.

I am not even really sure where he's going with this whole Jimmy Johnson thing anyway. Is he trying to create an argument that Johnson was really a product of his environment in Dallas at that time?
