I guess the theory was if you do this you see if you have a real qb or not....

What does everyone think?

Well, 40% of top 5 picks bust (around that since 2000, think slightly higher)

Cooper flashed #1 WR potential tonight.

That trade isn't the problem.

It will be if a top tier QB is available at 5.

Only in Dallas can 5 catches for 58 and a TD can be a flash of #1 talent.
Consider it is his first game

Consider how effective the other WRs and Zeke was in the passing game despite idiotic playcalling.

Yeah, he opened it up.

If that was their logic they are dumber than I could have imagindd

That was their logic. Jerry said it in the pregame. They were going to spend their first on a WR, 100%. 2019 has an abysmal WR class. They chose to plan for the "future and present" by trading for Cooper.

We will lose at least four of the next five putting us at 4-9, in line for a Top 5 pick.

And our doofus of a GM traded it for a WR.

This is what happens when you panic and make an emotional decision.
we look like a 3-10 and 4-12 team......we can't score more than 15 points a game....

Cooper was a #3 pick.... so

So..... I get that. He will be good for us. You wouldn't rather have a QB who can utilize him. Dak can't get the damn ball to him no more than 10-15 yards down the field. Lol

I swear, he’s got some terminal diagnosis and is just swinging for the fences now.

The guys on The Ticket right now are raving about Cooper. Apparently he & Beasley we’re open all night.

Very true, although Cooper was a positive.

You are nothing and going nowhere without a qb. Not sure I have any confidence in them finding one

I'm sure he consulted with his son.

Then they are dumb.

Jerry has all his eggs in Dak's basket. He's desperate. He's aging rapidly. He's scared to death of a 5-year rebuild at 76 years old. He doesn't want to admit hires wrong.

Reality is setting in. Not sure if he knows what to do.
I think thats a pretty accurate post....man is gonna die knowing he ran the Cowboys into the ground
