this is an unprecedented situation. Who’s career so you compare him to start a base salary?

Does Jerry save himself some money but playing hardball? Wouldn’t that put more critic on dak if he can only negotiate a modest salary after an up and down season?

Th Dak Prescott conundrum is getting kinda awkward. There’s not much he can really do this year to make them move on without him. But everyone must be looking around wondering what to do here? Can you bench the guy you benched your franchises best player for?

At this point, I don't even think drunk Jerry would offer Dak a contract extension.

Everybody sees how bad Dak is. They have to show courtesy and not bash him publicly, but I seriously doubt anybody in the Cowboys organization has faith that Dak is ever going to be a franchise QB.

Dak's agent is in the best place. Does not have to negotiate. Jerry has already made up his mind, Dak is the franchise QB.
So they just need to sit back, sign the papers and not care they lose for the next 10 years. As they will have guaranteed money in the bank.

What ??

Dak will be given the rest of his rookie contract to show how much he sucks (rest of 2018 and 2019), then shown the door as they draft a QB in 2020.

Gonna bring in a fancy new OC that is dak friendly.

They already used their first rounder on dak insurance. He’s getting a contract I bet. I know how this team works. Maybe case Keenum as a backup or whatever

*Checks where Dak ranks on the list of jerseys sold.

Yup, he's our franchise QB!

This. You can pretty much bank on dak getting a 20+mil a year contract after this season from jerry.

The next 4 games will determine whether or not Dak and Garrett are here next season. 1-3 or 0-4 and they’re both history imo.

dak is here for one more year if they don't start winning there will be a new staff to figure out what to do with dak

Mike Glennon, Sam Bradford, Alex Smith, Joe Flacco, Case Keenum, etc. etc. etc.

There are lots of crappy quarterbacks making a lot of money.
