Put up or shut up. What would you do? Keeping the DC worked for the Bears with Ditka, Work for Cowboys with Switzer, worked for Cowboys with Parcells, worked for Pittsburgh with Cowher, worked for Pittsburgh with Tomlin, and I could name more. Because there was no Head Coach or Offensive Corrdinator prior to Son of a Bum, what Jerry did was unprecedented in hiring Jason Garrett, stupid, and proves he has been the Head Coach since 1996 briefly letting Parcells do it to get his stadium.
they weren't forced to keep a coordinator...they chose to keep them....there is a difference... wade was forced to keep Garrett......and now you want to force the next coach to keep Richards!!!
oh, I have had responses to who could be possibilities for the coaches for the cowboys...I hate the fact that on the one hand people complain about Garrett taking the OC job, Jerry jones assigning him the OC and then doing the same thing because everyone is got a hard on for Kris Richards.....if Richards is that good, why wasn't he promoted to DC in Seattle after their DC left and why didn't they try to keep him in Seattle......I am sure there is a theory somewhere...and I am sure your response will be he yells so he is got leadership and he moved jones to CB, so that's qualification for being the DC. I am not saying he can't be good...but lets put the anointing oil away.....
and switzer was a joke...we won despite of him not because of him...he came along for the ride to win a ring.....Aikman, Irvin smith tuned him out and did their thing.....jerry had his hand up swatter's are moving his lips...Jerry wanting to be a coach, probably was telling swather what to do.....I will never for=give swather for his debacle when we lost to SF..instead of having the chance to win 3 superbowls in a row....he screwed up that team royally...
and the root of the problem is Jerry. which good NFL head coach would agree to come to Dallas after 25 years of what they have seen jerry do? Parcells came but he quit before his contract was up, he couldn't deal with jerry meddling.....
what I had posted for coaching candidates before, was to go after Schwartz the DC from Philly...yeah, he failed in Detroit, but lots of coaches fail their first time around and he has a knack for building aggressive good defenses.....then allow him to interview Kris Richards and see if he wants him as his DC...there is a chance......because both have very aggressive defensive personalities and like similar styles and defenses. Scwartz is also a 4-3 guy....... I think Gruden in DC will probably be fired by the end of the season and he could be a good OC candidate. Scwatrz has played against him for three years and the Washington Offense has had some success against them.....he has pretty good passing scheme and despite the passing he likes to run the ball.....
other coaches I suggested was Deflippo the OC from Minn.
David Shaw the head coach from Stanford, but he would be stupid to leave his job for a 3-4 year stint with the cowboys
I don't like Jim Harbaugh.......he is a 2 year band aid, before things fall apart between him and Jones... two strong personalities
I like Brian schentheimer the OC in Seattle....he has Wilson, who although way above Dak, is similar mobile QB...perhaps he can help fix his inaccuracy issues and his decision making problems
